noory just called the US Marshalls and DOJ NAZI's while discussing the Gibson guitar police raid. and of course they immediately turn it into a gun rights story.

i just want to take this time to say ... noory SUCKS
Yeah, but when the Marshals, FBI & DOJ catch and subsequently convict vicious pedophiles, for instance, aren't they heroes?  I didn't bother listening last night because I knew that I would HATE what they were saying.  For all you libertarians out there, life without laws is like sports without rules and refs.  Some laws, like the pot laws, really blow.  Many are sensible.  I support the laws preventing the export of wood from endangered trees.  If China & India want to denude their heritage forests, it's their business, but Gibson and other US companies shouldn't be enablers.  Oh yeah, and these f*cking morons who want to drink "raw milk".....when they sicken and die, their families will come to the government and ask "Why didn't you imprison those dairy farmers?"

In my most evil moments, I think "let morons drink unPasteurized milk and die.  It will cull the herd."

Anyone who clamors for raw milk is also welcome to use outhouses, horses, manually transported plumbing and other vestiges of prior centuries.

What's really funny is that there will be some guest who actually admits that global climate change might be anthrogenic in part and George is just too stupid to stop him.

George doesn't know what the word "anthropogenic" means.  Neither him nor earth changes "expert" Mitch Battros could figure it out a few weeks ago...In fact Battros thought the prefix "anthro" had something to do with geology....

That dang Noory has to always change the c2c schedule at the last minute.
For tonight he is now cutting back the main guest to only 2 hours in order to get that wacko Steve Quayle back on for the first 2 hours.  :P

Good Gawd.  Just when you thought that things couldn't get worse.  Steve Quayle blows.  He's the worst thing I've heard on radio, except for that Cunningham dude.  No Cunningham knows how to string coherent sentences together.  Quayle is so wretched, so obviously insane (but knows how to make a buck off of it) he can't even tickle my perverse funny bone.  At this point Noory should just hand the phucking show over to Quayle.  Let him be the C2C host.

I know now why Snoory is against psychotropic drugs.  If there were fewer mentally ill people, Snoory's listenership would be cut in half.  I admit it, I started listening to C2C for laughs, even when Art was hosting.  No paranoid theory is too outrageous for Coast.

Then I found out that a lunatic (who vigorously refuses to take meds--wonder where he got THAT idea, George), who posted at Above Top Secret and most likely was a Coast to Coast listener, shot a Congresswoman and a Chief Judge and many others.  I realized that sadly there were a great number of people who truly believed a lot of this bullcrap.

Art was awesome because he had an innate BS detector, and could really put BS artists on the spot.  He didn't portray what he had on his show as gospel truth, the way sNoory does.

Ah, Mitch Batshit.  Thanks for correcting MY misspelling of the word, BTW.  Mitch is yet ANOTHER ignoramus who has found a way to parlay his ignorance into a "pay to play" website.

Bart

I have an idea.  GRN doesn't want to be at work and we don't want him there either.  Why not just let him go, schedule guests to do thier spiel and answer calls from listeners?  Idiot George is not wanted or needed!!!

He already tried with JC...

Steve Quayle is sure bringing out the bible-thumper callers from all over this hour...  :P
They all seem to expect and look forward to their "end days"

Morgus

Another nutjob caller now, he thinks the moon has altered its orbit, changed its position or something.
Odd that astronomers haven't noticed that however.  ::)
Yet another bible-thumper caller now comments on that as well and references the "wormwood" too.

A+++++++++++++++++++++++++  comment.  Though as far as righty talkers go, Noory's still one of the nicer ones...Medved & John Batchelor are (much) smarter, but Medved's snide and Batchelor's even more pompous.  What's really funny is that there will be some guest who actually admits that global climate change might be anthrogenic in part and George is just too stupid to stop him.

Let's say that Noory inspires me and not in a good way.  >:(  He spews forth so many fallacies as facts that he's given a much deeper meaning to 'bad advice.'  Of course, he couldn't do it without the help of his usual group of butt kissing cling-ons who agree with everything he says and who praise him to no end (helps them get invited back sooner).  Case in point, the beginning 'news' segments where he normally has to spin the stories to strictly conform to his narrow viewpoints.  Actually, I love it when Linda Howe is on talking about vaccines and AGW because she takes as little bull from Georgie as possible, and you're right, he'd never dare argue with anyone like Linda because he'd be quickly pwned.

George Drooly

Another BS classic from Snoory tonight, while discussing some shit Hollywood film: "It's a great movie. I haven't seen it."

What studio could resist plastering that quote on a poster?

Steven Quayle on earth calamities and such.  He also mentioned something called "Krakatoa".  Obviously some sort of very powerful form of crack cocaine.  Shame on him.  While talking with filmmaker and hermetic scholar (I don't know what that means either), Jay Weidner, George spoke of his early schooldays where he learned alchemy. They must have stopped  teaching that right before I started school.  During the news segment George said that NASA will launch a probe tommorrow that is destined for the moon and will arrive there New Years Eve.  Three months to get to the moon?  Is this our moon we're talking about?  The one right there up in the sky?  Three months?  Is it going to walk there?  Cancel our Star Trek future.  We are screwed.
What's wrong with this picture?: Georges Melies' 1902 fantasy film; A Trip to the Moon (Le Voyage dans la Lune), has very little to do with actual science, although it does contain some similarities with the Apollo missions of the 1960s.

Valdez, I love your nightly reports. Steven Quayle is a giant turd liar. Doom and gloom has a limit.

Another George Noory incomplete as usual. I don't think George does anything on his free time except look for more infomercial products to sell on the air.

M Knight

Kind of an interesting insight... During a recent interview George told the guest that he was working on next week's schedule "as we speak".  Like most times, he seemed completely distracted during the interview.  The stack of stuff he escapes to during interviews must include crossword puzzles, Hawaii Today magazine, Walmart flyers, Coulrophobia self-help books, and who knows...

Noory also mentioned the other day that he has monitors tuned to the major TV news channels. Who thought that was a good idea ?

Re: Gibson guitar raid - apparently Gibson uses some endangered wood species in constructing their guitars and failed to adequately document the chain of custody from tree to workshop. no mention of this was made during the show. instead it was the government wants your guns and wants to send American jobs overseas.

Coast To Coast AM - it's an infantile right wing fairy tale

CRIMINAL!

There has to be a law against having this type of person on the air.

Rico999

Typical performance from the lunatic Quayle -- I quit after the 1st hour, I just wasn't ready for all those bible crazies he has for "fans" -- but I tell you, No One can jabber as fast as he can.  Damn, I don't know what drug or combination of drugs he did before the show, but there was a stretch when he was speaking so fast and changing his line of thought so quickly, bouncing back and forth -- it was literally amazing.   And he did it smoothly, didn't sound like he was "spitting cotton," like he usually does.  Must be a new drug cocktail he's got going -- and it works!

George as usual just sat there mute or mumbled an occasional non sequitur -- having Quayle on is almost like a night off for the Snoron as the guest just takes over the program.  One thing about Quayle is that he has a lot of knowledge (well, that's what he's trying to sell you anyway) -- like someone who's just crammed for a final exam -- and thanks to all those drugs, he's able to download and regurgitate all of it at warp speed.   George knows nothing about what Quayle's talking about, so he can't comment.

Makes for pretty good comedy if you're in the mood for that kind of thing.  You'd go nuts if you let a guy like make you angry....

seems like he's been talking over his own guests answers to his question. as a host that should rarely happen. seems like it's the norm these days

Noory said that when he was working for a radio station in Detroit, his producer wanted him to cover lighter subjects, but he said, "Nah, I wanna talk about murders" quoting the news reporters' maxim,
"If it bleeds it leads".
It sounded like he was bragging about his insider-savvy professionalism.
Someone on the staff must have noticed this slip (of the forked tongue?) because soon he was claiming that he was the one who wanted a kinder, more people-friendly approach to broadcasting, probably  agreeing with some bootlicking caller using effusive praise to get past the call-screener and be on the radio, by gum!
Two exactly opposite claims coming from the same mouth. If he had said he used to think that reporting the toxic side of news was the way to go but that now he's learned the error of his ways, I might have cut him some slack - but he didn't say that. He rewrote his own portrayal of himself.

Now I ask you...

Exactly right!  George wants so much to be right -- Don't know if it's that he just doesn't want to look bad if he's dead wrong -- or maybe he wants to feed his own ego with his "psychic ability."   Who the hell knows?

I've heard him tell the same story except the boss wanted him to do 'serious' news and George wanted to do UFO type stuff.

The key to listening to George is to immediately forget everything just as soon as the show ends.  George Noory does.

It's for 'thuh new lisners' - the next day the questions are the same, the interruptions are the same, the ads are the same, the same callers call in and say the same things, the same guests cover the same ground.  Just to mix it up a little, the personal stories sound familiar but have different endings (so get ready for that)..

Quote from: stevesh on September 06, 2011, 09:19:51 AM

George thinks monitoring the overnight news - when the day is beginning in Asia - is going to give him a big scoop someday (Ian is also focused with getting the big scoop with his True Crime series).

Has he ever interrupted a show with 'breaking news', sumpthin' he's seen on TV?  Not that I'm aware of.  Come to think of it, anyone actually watching the news, even in bits, would be more informed about current events than George Noory.

George (interrupting the guest):  'Breaking news, I'm going to be the first one to report what I've just seen on CNN...'

I still think he's mostly watching movie trailers during the show.
