He said Contact was his favorite movie?  That's just lame.

Save for the last 15 or 20 minutes, the movie was dull. John Hurt was the best thing in it and his screen time was rather limited.

Well, movie opinions are subjective, and that's cool.  But, everyone knows that's Art's favorite, & where he borrowed "Wanna Take A Ride?" from.
Nooron can't even have a favorite movie that's his own.  Thus we've achieved the BellGab Trifecta:  illustrating another way in which George Noory Sucks, a First World Problem, and a Thing That Annoys Me in one post.

That's true.  I know it's Arts favorite and Jorch says its his favorite though I think Attack of The Killer Tomatoes is more Jorch's speed.  Contact just didn't capture my imagination like Close Encounters did.  I think Zemeckis is a great filmmaker but Contact is just not a film that I will watch again.  I'm not the biggest fan of Foster and especially McConaughey.

That was his reason for saying "Wanna take a ride" on show last week.  That he and Art arrived at it independently or something because they are both fans.  If it really was jorch posting here.

Joorch reports that frustration is growing in Nepal over the pace of 'release efforts'.

The Ghoul has also been watching video of a child trapped in the rubble who was pulled out alive, which Joorch calls a miracle. Good of God to pull off this whole disaster so he could impress everyone with a miracle, don't you think?

Oh great. An acolyte of Deepak Chopra's.  No thanks.

In the last hour of the show last night, Noory again referred to the movie "Contact" calling it one of his favorites...

Other little known facts are that one of George's favorite books is Tess Gerritsen's 'Gravity', and he's a huge Crystal Gayle fan..

For whatever reason I'm up late tonight and turn on my radio. Man does George suck! What the hell? This is not even funny any more guys and just defies every bit of sense in why the hell would anybody listen to this carp! Unfuckingbelievable! Anyway, as you were.

I'm up, too.  No way I'm entering The Suckage Zone.

How the hell does this dipswitch continue to get away with massacring the art of conversation and english language night after night, and get paid for it?

Yeah, there are no words for how he just turned that caller's personal nightmare into a question about himself, and then cut the guest off in mid sentence while she was trying to answer him.

George's favorite movie is the one where the astronaut goes on a rant about not taking it anymore, then wishes everyone to the cornfield.

George already told us his true favorite is Old Yellow, the heart warming story of a boy and his dog - who gets sick in the end and has to be shot

Caller's off his rocker calling Jorch a really humble guy.  The self-proclaimed King of Late Night Radio. This show really isn't worth listening to anymore.  The host is an idiot and so are most of the callers.

Paola will guide you to a "Galactic Diplomacy Certificate." Imagine that on your résumé. Or perhaps not.
I would "buy" the diploma for $100 and list it on my resume (1500 is a little steep.)  It would give my future employers fair warning of my somewhat twisted sense of humour.  If they ask what I bring to the company during the interview, I would happily tell them that I am now certified to to deal with any inter galactic customer service issues they may experience.  And I would probably do it with a straight face. 8)

I can tell that you are not used to late nights and, as a result, are not functioning very well.  If you were used to late nights, you would have shown proper judgement and left the radio turned off...

Ah, yes, the classic "Old Yellow."  Dave, the never ending joke.

I can't listen to more than a minute or 2 - it's become too much like fingernails on a chalkboard for me.
It seems that Dave has to copy what he thinks makes him look cool and smart. He sings Elvis songs in what I can only assume is an attempt at impersonating Presley. He took over Art's show and kept Art's opening song, most of his bumper music, Art's thunderclap, and now claims to like Crystal's MITD, Contact and that he has always used Art's catchphrase "Wanna take a ride?" The only changes to C2C, other than making the show unlistenable, were the addition of the UFO Phil song and dividing the show up into multiple guest segments...as far as I can tell and I've listened for years.

Not trying to pick on Dave, but it seems that he has no ideas of his own. He pretends or imitates to get by. Just how it appears to me, YMMV.

The funniest thing about Noory lately is his bad timing.  First he comes rampaging into the Art Bell thread with a series of posts, whatever is motivation happened to be there who knows.  Then in short order the website goes down, then Rowland quits, and both incidents were immediately blamed on George.  Paranoia overtook the board for awhile as a result and more than ever Noory became our evil overlord.   Then things were smoothed over and now it appears nothing can stop Art's return.  Meanwhile, this thread is heating up again and we're back to hating George like proper Bellgab citizens, all because he chose to start posting again at exactly the wrong time.  The poor guy can't get out of his own way.

That's one of the reasons PremRat loves him.  The perfect company yes man.  I wonder how many PremRat flunkies have a hard time keeping down their doughnuts in staff meetings.  Excluding Tommy.

I've been gone for a few days.

Last night when a caller was relating a story about an abusive stepmother who may have poisoned her, I think Noory chuckled a couple of times.

You know, I think I've been on this site for 2-3 years.  I lurked for about 6 months before joining.  I admit that I thought that people here were a little too hard on Noory, that most of you missed Art and were venting rage. But I joined anyway because the people were smart and I enjoyed engaging about all kinds of things, not just the show.  Well, now you are vindicated.  Noory is as big an asshole as people have been claiming.

Incidentally, I bought the Zac Bissonette beanie baby book(on eBay, ironically) I read it in a day and it will be one of my top reads of 2015 probably(I belong to a book group that keeps track of that sort of thing)If you like fairly short books about social phenomena you will like this even if you don't know Snort the Bull from a Peace Bear.  Noory so didn't do this man justice in the interview.

RCH may have lost the plot when it comes to most things, but that Robin is quite a catch.

I know.  She looks like my yoga teacher, who's 60, but could pass for 45.
