Meh, the only thing I've noted about Noory's music taste is that he's younger than Art, yet seems to prefer old crooner retirement home type music while Art has always been more of a rocker.  I'm not the only one who got hooked on Art's show as a kid, Art was able to transcend generational boundaries - I'm just wondering if in 10 years any adults will be saying they got hooked on Coast as kids under Noory's tenure.

Dave's parents refused to let him listen to the "Devil's Music" while growing up, especially the music recorded  by those "black devils" over at Motown. It was all 40s crooners and show tunes for poor Davey boy.

CLASSIC Noory "news" segment tonight.....Did I hear him call the Higg's Boson the "dog" particle?

THEN when he intros Joel Wallach, he wishes him a "Happy Easter."  That's real nice George, but almost everyone named Wallach (that I know about anyway) happens to be JEWISH!   

Someone in the PremRat production dept has got to make up a Noory blooper tape and market it.  Hell, they probably already have one and when the dimwit isn't around, they hang out and drink beer and laugh their asses off at their idiot boss...

Well obviously I was being a bit facetious but my point is I just don't think "Breakin' Up is Hard To Do" belongs on what's supposed to be an edgy paranormal radio show (unless someone broke up with a Bigfoot or somethin).

What's funny is that I've been listening to a lot of Exotica lounge music like Les Baxter and Martin Denney lately. I find the whole mid-century Tiki craze facinating, as well as the more recent Tiki revival movement.

Your SCTV post reminded me that Eugene Levy and Cathrine O'Hara have a new show that I have been meaning to check out.  If their past performances are any indicator, Schitts creek promises to be worth my time.  To keep this on topic, time spent watching Schitts creek will certainly be better spent than that listening to Jorch the magnificent inept.

Actually, there isn't anything against charity in practiced objectivism if the motivation and choice is their own and pure.

And RUSH was never a rote adherent to Rand.  (Is anyone ever really?).  They adopted elements to their lives and wrote some music exploring the idea, but it was never their ethos.

Rand is best adopted and understood by applying elements to your life, and a wake up call to your own potential, desires, and motivations.    Attempting to apply strict objectivism is just an autistic circle jerk.  Rand had to be extreme in her views to get her point across and provide an intellectual anchor.
