Yes, and what of it? My aunt married at 15.

Sweet! Your uncle was a regular on C2C?! ;D

It was decent to hear Lobo and be reminded of horror hosts but GNS. I loved Count Gore de Vol back in the day and monster and horror movies. He also did some minor political satire in his skits (based in DC) and would have hot chicks on them also sometimes, etc. And, creepily, he was also the morning Bozo The Clown. He was great though. But I saw Svengoolie's show a few weeks ago. They were playing an EXCELLENT ghost movie "The Uninvited" with Ray Milland. Actually a GOOD movie and it was ruined by his antics. And not the movie for kids because more atmospheric and good actors and less cheap scares, monsters, etc. Not a good movie for the interjection of antics and laughs. I'm not sure what audience the modern guys are going for...but I suspect more older and stoner types. Not children, who likely are playing video games or watching the more modern torture-porn horror movies anyway.

Did like to hear that Guiley met her husband at the "Mothman Conference." Classic.

The Uninvited is absolutely one of my favorite ghost stories.  I thought the ghost effects were the best and most realistic that I've ever seen in a film.  It also was such an interesting story. It came out on Criterion last year and they did a bang-up job on the release.

You might also want to check out these other films since you liked The Uninvited.

The Haunting 1963 version
The Legend of Hell House
The Innocents
The Seventh Victim
Burn, Witch, Burn
Curse Of The Demon

Sorry but it is not going to happen for you. Clyde is back in the hospital yet again. poor guy. Try out the No sleep podcast, its free. Anything ghost is alright too.

Thank you, nooryisawesome! I did check out No sleep podcast. I enjoyed it very much and will probably sign up for the season pass. I listened to this instead of George last night.  ;D

He died in 1967.  He was kind of the black sheep of his family, but its really kind of a moot point because the marriage was engineered by my grandmother.  It was during the Depression.

found a picture of noory out shopping after the show

Coast is Toast Am guests seem to be more interested in picking up brides of the mail order variety though. A lot of them are just plain creepy... and also seem like the controlling type. I'm sure your aunt had a much better and loving marriage.

Lobo?  Ha, the only Lobo I know and is worth a damn was singing about me and you and a dog back in the 70's. GNS.

Really should be on another thread but since C2C isn't giving us much Halloween spookiness I'll reply here. Thanks for the suggestions. First three I've seen and loved, esp Haunting, and of course The Uninvited. I haven't see the other 3 but will check them out. I will add another I like is "Let's Scare Jessica To Death" (1973.) Very atmospheric, a little more modern, but scary and gives you a weird vibe. "Audrey Rose" (1977) scarred me also a long time ago but haven't seen for a while.

My sincere apologies for inflicting such torture on you, 136. I hesitate to say this, and maybe I need to get the wax out of my ears, but did Noory call Lobo Mr Logo at one point? Maybe it's just the Mushmouth enunciation.

He called him something like that. But, to be fair to Noory, he did quickly correct himself.

I second that. Norry did say that but he did correct himself rather quickly. I think Norry was "on his toes" at that point because Lobo kept throwing left-hooks like "hanging himself", "many former Mrs.Lobos", "I feel, I guess like a cross-dresser feels" etc.

So many good suggestions. One of my favorites is The Changling staring George C. Scott. My kids rolled their eyes and said it was lame....at first. They got real quiet as the story went on. They played it for one of their friends and she said she couldn't sleep that night.  ;)

Holy Crap, I can't believe I didn't mention that one. SCARY. Thanks for reminding me. That is a very good one with a great actor and the whole thing, atmosphere, story, house, piano music, etc. Wow. Speaking of George C Scott, I actually like Exorcist III almost (only almost) as much as the first Exorcist due to him (his banter, commentary about home life and stuff, and gruffness) and an interesting score and theme.

He was one of my favorites, too. I don't remember the Exorsist III, But Scott played an excellent Mr. Rochester in an old version of Jane Eyre.

I am POSITIVE that it will be the regular STUPID, SILLY, TOTALLY NOORY....Ghost to Ghost..... tomorrow night.  Noory is a goofball and can't make ANYTHING about the paranormal credible, spooky, frightening, or thrilling.  Sure wish Schrader, Knapp, or even Skyrett was hosting.  Noory will make it a CAPTAIN KANGAROO Halloween night....discussing his obsession with clowns and interrupting his guests....never letting anyone delve into a good story.

UGH.......I would be watching TCM old movies,........ but @#$!# DISH has a blackout on TCM at the moment.

IS THERE NO RECOURSE FOR ME?????  YIKES!!!!   ;)

LMH is on Sunday now.

No information about tonight's show available on the website, and showtime is in 20 minutes.

Now they've switched Sunday's show back to tonight.  Weird.

Yep, LMH is back on, Noory just announced "Conversations with Linda" next hour.  The best thing about her conversations, is they're with other people, not Noory.   ;D

I have always kind of liked LMH. She's a good investigative journalist. In fact, before she turned to the dark side -- the paranormal -- I believe she was an award-winning journalist.

At any rate, the few times I have had personal dealings with her, she has been absolutely gracious.

Another Ebola "update" from someone without a medical degree or formal medical training. I'm shocked. SHOCKED, I tell you!

aldousburbank

Shit's like, when shit couldn't suck anymore, The George can still make shit suck more.

George says his family members see an apparition when they stay at his place in St. Louis.  It's probably George sleep walking while looking for turkey sandwiches.

aldousburbank

I'm pretty sure that George's relatives are seeing the mustache haunting his house, not some dog ghost bullcrap.

And we had a lawyer discussing psychics the other nite, so I guess it's all good.
