Finally we get a legitimate guest, Linda Davies, with mainstream and sensible ideas and some good stories and all we get are conspiracy callers. And, of course, George's questions who almost ruined the interview. Even just listening causally I remembered that she lived in Wales. Yet George asked again. And then right after she mentioned the scene of being taken up at night being lined up facing guns from the Iranian Navy and that she and her husband thought "this is it", George asked "if they ever feared for their lives."

That interview sounded very out of place on C2C.  I honestly don't think I knew just how dimwitted Noory and his callers sounded until an intelligent person of regular, rational sensibilities, who could articulate things as well as you would expect from someone on a regular 'mainstream' news program, was put face to face with him.  It really illustrated the difference between the Noory universe and the real one.  With all the questions he was asking which were completely unrelated to her work simply because she was British, like 'do you think Princess Diana believed the Royal Family was trying to kill her,' along with all the 911 truther nonsense -- well, I was tempted to email her and apologize for her thinking she was actually going to be interviewed by a professional.

It was a weird show. Because the guest was coherent, experienced, qualified, and just interesting. And George wasn't as bad as usual because he let her talk- but still couldn't follow basics and would ask some stupid, and already answered, question. And then, of course as expected, callers (screened callers by the way) start asking either conspiracy, non-germane comments/questions, or full-on anti-Muslim stuff to which she replied at first logically but then Norry started in, and I think she was confused by the turn of the show (One world government, 911, etc). But I enjoyed the show because of the guest and, I imagine, she told her friends later how crazy Americans are. Haha.

Yes, thank you for calling Fletcher out on this.  I worked many years as a hotel maid.  Fletcher seemed to be implying that Strauss-Kahn wouldn't bother a maid because, you know, he could do so much better. This is a lame and insulting defense that sex offenders( and people who who have no understanding of the crime of rape) use.
How could a guy like this have Sonny Bono's ear or be testifying before Congress or whatever?
But here's what really irked me, and frankly it's been pissing me off all day today. He was talking about his theory of contraband being smuggled by the CIA or somebody and said that "carcasses" of Iraq war dead were being used. Well, this is a very serious allegation in and of itself, probably breaks about 20 laws.  But that word "carcass" really got me.  Couldn't he say "body" or "corpse"? This guy isn't a high school dropout or somebody whose first language isn't English, he's an author of some sort.  He has to know that carcass has connotations of animals and most veterinarians probably wouldn't even say it about a deceased patient to the owner( well, small animal guys at least). What if gold star parents were listening? Can't we show a little respect? And Noory, with his much-touted 9 years in the Navy. Maybe I'm being hyper-sensitive, but this really bothered me.
