Tonight's C2C wins the award for Choice Noory Quotes of the Month:

"Hollywood turns these werewolves out to be romantic, but they're not really romantic, are they?"

"When vampires are out doing their thing, can they really be stopped?"

"Of the banshees, werewolves and vampires, if you encountered one, which one would you want to encounter?"

Oh George.

Stick with the cue cards, George.

So glad I found someone else here who was also listening to it â€" it was too hilarious not to be shared.

Thanks for joining me in the laughs! Have a good night/morning! :) :)

This show sounds like it was a real gem, representative of the Noory era. I am going to have to listen to it.

Pity there isn't a way to give $noory a ball gag.

Kane Hodder has played Jason in those Friday the 13th movies that I've never bothered to see (well, I recall watching the first one, but just barely, something about a fish tank).  He said kids who are bullied would be well served to fight back, even if they get their butt kicked, because it would make them feel better about themselves, and it’s that self-esteem thing (or lack thereof) that drives some of these kids to hang themselves in the garage.   Robert Murch and Brandon Hodge were on to talk about Ouija boards and something called a Planchette, which allows spirits to write down their messages.  I didn't expect much from these guys, but they knew their stuff and carried the conversation along nicely.  George pulls a decent show out of his butt.  I don't have much hope for ghost 2 ghost tomorrow.  He and Tommy seem to be over-planning it.  Tommy said something about "sound effects."  Egads

He was the best Jason, personally.  Too bad he wasn't that tall compared to Robert Englund.  Though Jason killing his future self in VIII is funny, as well as himself in IX.

called a Planchette, which allows spirits to write down their messages.

I googled planchette because I wasn't sure what it was. I guess its the little thing everyone rests their hands on.

Anyway, you know what would be a cool study? To put Ouijia board people in front of a ouijia board with letters in a foreign language. Then see if they can spell intelligible words and sentences in a language they have never seen before.

"Nightmare on Elm Street" was so much better.  At least the first one.

All -- If anyone sent George nasty e-mails last night that mentioned me, please don't in the future.  It makes me look bad if it appears as though I'm inciting something.

To be clear: I had someone tweet me (on Twitter, obv.) that Mike was talking about me, and so I posted here asking if anyone could confirm that was true.  I was not requesting that anyone e-mail George and complain about it, especially not in a nasty way.

I didn't listen to the show so I don't know what George said about nasty e-mails.

I doubt there were any and if they were I doubt they were sent by anyone other than Bara or people that are friends with Bara. I mean, its all they can really do anymore to discredit you.

Bingo, great idea. I generally think all this Ouija board stuff is hokum... but, there is some evidence about people getting hit on the head or waking up from comas being able to speak (though not necessarily understand) foreign tongues. That is remarkably strange.

Our buddy George has told me he is done being rude to people. He is also no longer responding to rude people. Do you think he realizes it is rude to threaten people? or its rude to rip off of Art? or it is rude to have people who have made false accusations on his show?

George is the master of trolling radio. Marvel in the majesty of his genius.

Noory is doing his own version of Ghost To Ghost tonight again this year.
Unfortunately typically he can't come up with his own names, he has to keep using Art's old name for the Halloween show.
But he changes the format - its supposed to be all 4 hours with only caller ghost stories, but he throws in some pre-recorded frequent guest stories too like Rosemary Ellen Guielly, taking away time from callers.
He also wasted the first half hour of the show with non-Halloween new stories and political guests.
Another big thumbs down for Noory's lame version of the c2c Halloween show - destroying the longtime old traditions.

Lol noory opened up a psychic vampire "hotline".
Not even ghost, wants you to call about people who steal your energy.

Another caller is talking about her vacation to 9 11 memorial. No real ghost or super natural story just a coowenshedence.

Of course noory has to relate the story to one of his family members. Now george is talking about his trip to Minnesota 5 years ago.

wtf kinda stupid story? gnoory just lets people read their crap.

They must have slowed down the announcer to make him sound "spooky" but they just make him sound drunk.

Hes got a recorded one from Katherine Albright? going on now.

We get to hear the ghost marine that saved the battalion story at the end of the show I bet.

I tried listening in for a few minutes out of curiosity, but it just seemed so hollow.  Why can't he just do something new rather than riding on the coattails of the old c2c whilst simultaneolusly mangling its traditions?  As I remember he similarly broke the New Years Eve prediction show last year with the same kind of approach.

Yo Valdez, just checking. Does dude still suck much?

Some of the stories weren't bad, but George doesn't know to keep his mouth shut.  Part of the telling of a story is the telling of the story.  The prerecorded Austin Fitts/Ellen Guiley bits didn't work, the sound effects were lame and useless, the announcer's (does he have a name?) voice dramatics were corny, and towards the end of the show George even considered opening a "all time favorite candy sweets" hotline.  More Kudos to Dr. Peter Breggin for, once again, for not willing to play into George's fear mongering.  George had him on to discuss the dangers of tainted Halloween candy, and Breggin said it was just more stuff to scare the kids.  George said "I'd rather err on the side of caution" and went on to recall how when he was growing up in Detroit people were finding pins and needles in Halloween candy all the time.  Really, George?  Whatever.  Yes, Aldous, George Noory still sucks mucho mucho grande y espectaculoso.

fear not

I know noory likes to add last minute guests but I noticed there are no split shows scheduled for next week. Maybe noory has a big week of poaching planned.
