I disagree with you on the percentage of cases being 90% hoaxes.
Many people have had them and honestly present them but science and skeptics ridicule it because you can't reproduce something that's happening on another level of existence.

Everytime I see your avatar, all I can think of is :

1) Was  that Snoory's business card picture when he was in the Naval Reserve ?
and
2) George Noory ... Turkey of the Sea.

I'd say lots of people see things they can't explain. But if you're willing to try to monetize it, you're immediately suspect. I think the 90% is probably accurate for the guests. For the public, who knows? There's tons of misinterpretation, attention-seeking, outright crazy and the like going on. But there is also a core that is truly unexplainable and I'm interested in that percentage. It certainly exists.

Here I talk about the Snoorge sucking, the Half Moon Bay Harvest Festival and how the Snoorge is going down for the count !

The Guy From Pittsburgh ( tm ) Talks About George Noory : The Bleat Goes On !!! ...

I apologize for the quality of the video. I drove down to the Harvest Festival with an hour of sleep. You CAN drive the Prius with no sleep and one finger ( ltierally ) but I wouldn't recommend it on a regular basis.
I'm still beat and am going back to bed.

... But let's take on lazy:

Here's what we know from the facts: we know Noory does an internet TV show, we know he's working with a ghost writer to produce books, we know he makes multiple public appearances, we know he appears on Syfy docs  and we know he hosts a 4 hour show 5 days a week. Lazy you say? Doesn't wash. What does wash is that George is trying to squeeze whatever he can financially from his moment in the sun and the quality of all suffers when you focus broadly and try to do too much...

I don't care about his other ventures other than to poke fun at them.  Well, except Ancient Aliens because I watch that and don't want to see George Noory or listen to his typical pointless comments on that either.

As far as his performance on Coast to Coast, the next time he picks up a guests book and flips through it will be the first time.  Pretty much the same with guest's websites.

I don't expect him to read a book every day, but it shouldn't be too much for him to come to the studio ready to interview the guest.  Instead, he asks them the same handful of questions he asks everyone else, plus a few the guests sends in for him to ask.

He admits this.  He says he wants to be exposed to the information for the first time, just as the audience is.  He has an excuse for everything - this is his excuse for being unprepared.

He can't be bothered to give the guests and callers his full attention during the show.  We still don't know what he's doing instead, why it can't be done some other time, or why it's important.

I call it lazy.  Maybe it's a matter of semantics and we should stick with unprepared, uninterested, unprofessional.  To me, lazy pretty much covers it if we are just talking about C2C.  What ever it is, he sucks

... Ok, so we agree that there is bias. Um, well, that speaks for itself. Why would I consider a biased opinion and anecdote credible? More importantly, why would you?

... you're a paper tiger...

To the extent there is bias in everything we humans think, yes.  No one starts fresh each time they listen to a radio show.  Over time they build up positive and negative expectations, and very often they are met.

Well you should care about them because they factor into your analysis and subsequent claim of laziness. That's like saying "Nasa should be shut down because they haven't landed on the moon in 30 years". Well, ok, but they did a few other things in that time that probably ought to be factored in.

I don't know that either of them are particularly prepared. Art's interview with that kid in Nevada didn't exactly smack of a properly vetted and studied guest. Rather I think Art is pretty good at winging it, and George is too distracted to know what the hell is going on. That can be backed up, he sits in here and chats with us while he's on the air. Not exactly a good thing for the attention span. But that's not a theory, that's a known.

I'd call it distracted and it's only gotten worse as he's loaded his schedule with everything over the years.

None of that excuses Oates and the guest stealing. That's nothing but bad on Noory's part and he lost me as a listener because of it.

I don't like bias. I think the media's general bias is destroying the country and we'll be shacking up with George when the whole thing hits bottom.

GN: "Yesh, my lishteners live with me. Even thuh hatersh. It costs 2400 boxes of pizza rolls a day, but its worth it 'cause something's goin on."

Tonight, 2 part show. Strange Beings and Dyatlov Pass.  First subject is fine, but I've been waiting for years for the Dyatlov Pass mystery to be presented on Coast to Coast. This mystery has fascinated me since I first encountered it  as a cover story on Fortean Times.  This would have been a terrific topic for George Knapp, so much better than 4 hours of Uri Geller! ;D

agree

Now it will be the profundity of " could it had been a yeti?  Could Bigfoot be an alien?"

Double agree.  What a terrible waste of a potentially interesting topic.  This would have been perfect for Knapp.  He could have easily turned it into a David Paulides-type show  Yes, instead it'll be "could it have been mean baby angels, using a portal?"  ::)

can i have one of your box fans?

No, sorry, but if I don't run them until about 2 am I absolutely ROAST in here.
This apartment faces the sun in 3  directions and when I go out I have to turn on 8 fans and the giant industrial strength one when its over 90 outside.
It's 78 in here right now but it has gotten to 100 in my living room even with the fans going full blast. Hottest apartment I've ever lived in.
There are 3 fans going in the bedroom as well. It's hot in there too.
Somewhere during the night between 12 and 4am the breezes come off the Bay along with fog and it gets ice cold but then starts warming up around 7am.

I have a Haier airconditioner but it sucks and doesn't blow enough cold air to cool the entire living room. Its in the window but I never use it. Instead of blowing air out into the room, it blows it towards the ceiling. Its terrible.
In the winter once it starts to get cold ( it was 75 today with low 80s for the rest of the week ) I freeze in here and have to wear sweaters, sweat pants, socks, slippers & even at times run the electric heater. I also have to sleep with an electric blanket which without I couldn't get any sleep. The insulation in this ancient building ( 1956 ) is horrible.
By the way, to indicate the level of post office service one gets. I mailed the letter to my broker's office in Nebraska last Monday night. The letter was picked up on Tuesday. The broker got it on Saturday. It takes 2 days to process my sell request, cut a check and then send me back the check for the proceeds. So then it will take another 5 days to get here.
Area51drone sent the money order to me last Monday. It still hasn't gotten here.
Once I get the brokerage check, I'll mail him back his money. But its kind of ridiculous for mail to take this long to get here.
And I'm gonna wait on the radio until I get a response to my letter to Sirius' chairman about their horrible customer service.

* sigh *

You should try some tinfoil.

For some reason, I suspect you probably have some to spare and that nobody will be surprised.

So I learned from Well's interview with Ty Bollinger that Ty is quite the conspiracist.  A truther even.  From Knapp's interview with Uri Geller I learned that Uri was a spy.  I’ve heard both these guest interviewed by George and I didn't know any of this.  I take for granted how much George sucks, but every now and then I'm confronted with just how much of a crap sandwhich he's been dishing out to us.  I get paranormal guy Brad Steiger confused with Rod Steiger and keep waiting to here someone say, "they call me Tibbs!"  Donnie Eichar's segment about the fate of the dead hikers found in Russia in 1959 was cool, but it's painful listening to George trying to figure things out with his brain.  Really painful.

Not that I'm aware of but there's no point to doing that now as Fall approaches.
Next year I'll have the bedroom ready for posting and will have a portable a/c in there and will be spending much of my time in there.

I use tinfoil for cooking and not for an anti radiation hat as you obviously do since you brought it up.
And there are commercial smoked transparent window films that cut out 10-20 degrees of the heat, which will be on some of the windows next year.
Many apartments do NOT allow one to block windows with foil, cardboard etc. because they consider it a fire hazard.
So does this one.

You realize cold air sinks and hot air rises, yes? Cold air should be directed towards the ceiling if you want to properly cool the room.

George Noory, Premiere Extend C2C Deal

Premiere Networks Wednesday announced an exclusive long-term agreement with top national radio personality George Noory to renew his relationship with the company.

Under the new agreement, Noory will continue his current role as host of Coast to Coast AM, the most-listened-to overnight radio program in North America. Heard by nearly three million weekly listeners on nearly 570 radio stations in the U.S., Canada, Guam and Mexico, the program is ranked #1 in several markets, including Los Angeles, Houston, Seattle, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Sacramento, Cleveland, San Antonio, Las Vegas, Providence and Hartford.

In addition, Coast to Coast AM's audience has grown 13% over the past two years, and in the past year alone, has experienced double and triple digit gains in major markets, including New York (+23%), Los Angeles (+25%), Houston (+121%) and Philadelphia (+167%)*.

"By renewing my deal with Premiere Networks, I'll be around when astronauts land on Mars," said Noory. "I want to thank Premiere and Clear Channel Media and Entertainment for having the confidence in me and our amazing team to take Coast to Coast AM into the future. I look forward to many more years of bringing riveting programs during the late-night hours to our millions of listeners around the world."

"The continued growth and success of Coast to Coast AM is a testament to George's incredible talent and dedication," stated Julie Talbott, President of Content and Affiliate Services for National Media Groups, Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. Ã, "Each year, George takes Coast to Coast AM to new heights, and we couldn't be happier to extend our partnership with him for years to come."

After reading some/most of the comments posted here I am embarrassed.......you guys should sound (BE????) more intelligent while attacking someone....George Noory, and at least be able to SPELL.... I agree totally with most of what you say, but NOT your methods. Maybe that is why George had that segment on BULLYING....JESUS CHRIST, don't you LOSERS have ANYTHING better to do with your life than to constantly downgrade someone ?????Are you still in High School?????OH YEAH. THAT IS CAUSE YOU HAVE NO LIFE!!!! LOL!!! IF, and that is a BIG IF, you REALLY DID HATE George Noory that much, WHY in the world would you even listen to him???? THAT proves you have NO LIFE and NEED THE ATTENTION YOU GET HERE acting like schoolkids (mean mothers at that!!)BULLIES!!!!!!
THAT IS THE SADDEST PART OF THE WHOLE THING!!!!!!! George will never be Art! But you guys are so infantile and classless! I'm still in the 8th grade. And I placed second in the spelling bee last year, so technically I am not a loser. Infantile and classless seem redundant, perhaps that was your choice, but in reality, just a way to listen to yourself a bit longer.

But I do like your style, because nothing says reasonable more efficiently than a post like yours. In a nutshell you embody every criticism you make, perhaps excluding the spelling... but there is still time.
