George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

Quote from: valdez on October 10, 2013, 04:38:18 AMGeorge did open lines in the last hour, but he opened a special line for anyone who has seen any "strange whacked out people."  George is obsessed with strange whacked out people.  It's all he cares about.  That and natural remedies.  He should write a book called Natural Home Remedies and Recipes for Strange Whacked Out People.
I had hoped in the last hour of open lines somebody would call in and tell Noory about seeing a 'strange whacked out person' talking on the new episode of Ancient Aliens earlier this week.
Look in the mirror Noory and you will see him...  :P

Riddle for the next decade:  If a tree falls in a dead forest, does anyone hear the tree fall?

Nighthawk

Hello everyone. You are actually still listening to George? This is the first time I have come to this section since the day I left. (16th of September) I just thought I would drop in to see how things are going. I am over in the other section these days. Be Well!

Nighthawk

Perhaps it has already been discussed here. Did anyone notice the C2C website is copying Art Bell with the "spooky ghost stories" and asking listeners to email stories? Total rip off artists. Ripping off Art's ideas.

To be fair, they've been ripping Art's ideas off for 10 years now

Ripping off Art's ideas is probably the smartest thought they have had in a while. They need to fire whoever came up with Tommy reading text messages.

It has become a corporate pastime of sorts.  They must be thrilled that Art is back so they can freshen up their show.

Quick Karl

I haven't listened to C2C once, except for Wells/Jesse Ventura, since Art's return.

I noticed c2c brought someone on about Fukushima the same night Art had on Dr. Karam speaking about the same thing.

Jim Harold and his paranormal stories wasn't bad, but if I was doing a ghost show at the end of the month I would probably stay away from ghost stories for a few weeks.  George doesn't get it.  In the last hour he played a tape of Christopher Walken reading Edgar Allen Poe (I think it was The Raven).  Too much revererb and production.  The thing about Walken's voice is his voice, and it didn't come across.  George's Critical Health News website has no news at all.  It’s just selling stuff.  So blatant.  Just looking at the site gives you that "ripped off" feeling.  And he continues to use that picture of his that he's been using for the past two years.  He should at least have a white coat and a stethoscope.  Or a witch doctor outfit.

The radio (and George) were on in the background while I cleaned the kitchen tonight- so i caught an hour or more of his show and was shocked that he hit almost every "Noorism" during that time (some more than once.)  People are acting strange, there are no coincidences, people are whacked out (I think the acting strange and whacked out were three or four times with slight differences in wording.)  It was completely amayshing that he could pull it off.

I did not stick around for more than 10 minutes after he passed the trucker off to Tommy in order to "help fix the line" and was going to bring him back.  Is it safe to assume that the caller was "accidentally" dropped?

All in all, George delivered exactly the quality of show we have all come to expect.

Jorch probably still has his mad scientist outfit from his hamster experiment days.  Maybe he could squeeze into it.  Run, hamsters, run...

That image, It'sOver, looks a bit like our own ChewMouse behind the wheel!

Very nice ride for the ChewMouse. It's even got a spoiler.   ;D

George Noory if you are reading this, and I'll bet you read this thread a lot, next time you mention research results, tell your audience where you found the info. It's one thing if there was an article in the Lancet about Vitamin D, and quite another if it was something from *Dr* Coldwell's website or the National Enquirer.

I wonder how George feels about this thread now? It was pretty obvious that posts on GNS would slow down after September 16th, but I didn't expect this. Wow!
Only a few pages a week! Especially considering how many pages, per day, we were pumping out in August and early September. Sometimes 10 to 15 pages!

Does George think that HE might have had some influence on slowing all the 'Hate' around here?
Is George happy or sad that his thread is a ghost town now?

I think it speaks volumes that no one even cares about him anymore, good or bad.
It is kind of sad in a way, because I have had so much fun reading all the comments and poking fun at him since I joined this forum.  For the record, I don't hate George or wish him harm, but he is such an easy target for criticism and satire. The satire here has been nothing short of comedy brilliance, that would rival ANY contemporary comedian.

The night Gnoory was having his meltdown and,  Art himself, logged in and started posting about the Oates/email thing, has got to be one of the most entertaining forum experiences I ever had. Spectacular and unexpected!
It just goes to show that when Art is involved, it is always entertaining!

The live Dark Matter threads are a lot of fun, but I think I will always fondly remember the nights spent posting and laughing uncontrollably at GNS thread.

This is a sign.  I was bored so I listened on Insider for last Sunday nights show.  That was the night that Art posted he was going to host some REAL radio.

Remember?

Well, during the last hour guess what?  Noory played that Seasaw song and followed up with "We're Not Going To Take It" by Twisted Sister.  Last hour had the Open Lines and the Texas or text was something about bumper music and the meaning of some of the  songs.  I wonder if that was a reference to Art remarking about REAL radio.

Meanwhile down on the desert Mr. Bell continues to await that e-mail from Mr. Noory.

Before GN there was alt.fan.art-bell, Art and his double-wide were nightly targets of the troll army led by Tim Hill and his merry band of misfits. George was a nobody, just like today.

I tuned in last night for the paranormal stories/open lines.  I enjoyed the guest's stories but Jorch is useless.  The guest would tell a story, Noron would stop him in the middle of a thought to squeeze in a call (I tuned in late), the guest answers the callers question, Noron stops him in the middle of a thought to say, "Tell me about X story." Wash, rinse, repeat.  Open lines was the standard bumbling buffoon trying to survive until the next break.

Since 16 Sept, I've found an exponentially more compelling form of entertainment during c2c's time slot: Dark Matter for the 1st hour and sleeping the rest of the night.

You suck George but I usually tune in for Coast To Coast AM w/Anyone But George Noory.

George is such a rebel! Bumper music wars is all he can muster.
Now if only he can conduct an interview without making a fool of himself.

If he improves, I will never actually hear it.
A Noory tree falling in the forest type thing...

The only influence he had was to keep on sucking while Art came back being his normally awesome self except some how awesomer.  No one is checking for GNoory anymore.

They have a rotating list of Fukishima experts coming on. I understand its a big deal with huge, far-reaching complications, but it does seem odd how many shows the subject seemed to get. I imagine Wells was just short on rent and needed to push some radiation detectors on his website.

I wonder who posted their guest list first, C2C or bellgab for the fukishima shows?

I second this totally.  I originally came here seeking consolation and affirmation from other dissapointed C2C refugees, and although I did find that, what kept me around was the clever and side-splitting satire on this thread that suddenly made GN's shows bearable and oddly entertaining again.

Even though I'm thoroughly enjoying Art's return, I actually find myself wishing that DM & C2C were on at seperate times and that this thread hadn't stalled out, so I could enjoy both shows in their own way (Art's for all the right reasons, GN's for all the wrong, but comical ones).

RedMichael

Noory HAS to have at least pondered why the GNSucks thread has sputtered out the moment there was an alternative. I believe his whole outlook on the haters is that we just went out of our way to "hate". But now that there is a better alternative the "hating" has almost stopped...maybe...just maybe...he realizes he really did/does suck.

I was worried when Art returned that the humour and the satire would end and it would become a "less fun" place to hang out filled with Art Bell fans and groupies for which the show could do no wrong (yes, yet another instance of my mis-reading people.)  Instead, I have found that the targets have just changed.  Yes, there is some love for the guests, but the lightning that used to hit Dave every night occasionally finds new targets (I am looking at you Hogue and Chumba wamba.)

The real problem is that even if they were not on at the same time, most of us do not have 8 or 9 hours a day to listen to radio and the better show won.  If I were still working nights and I had nothing better to do than tune into Dave I might listen and post more often (or possibly it would be unbearable to listen to Dave immediately after Art...)  The fact is that it really is an either / or decision when it comes right down to it due to time constraints.

I have decided.. I am too bored with George Noory to even hate him now.
I am sorry Snores..
I'm not a Hater.
I'm a Bored-er..

Am I still a bully if I don't care what you do?
