This time of the year, I often lose the first hour+ of C2C to extra inning ball games so I missed the show last night, and it sounds like some interesting stuff for a change.  I don't mind the game play, but I do get pissed that they insist on a 30-minute recap of the entire game.

Noory could reignite my interest in pro baseball radio broadcasts again, including the boring recaps.  Heck, Noory could drive me to radio broadcasts of lacrosse.

The only other AM station I can get here in the canyon is the Navajo station.  C2C has gotten so bad that I'm actually beginning to dig Navajo chants.

;D  That sounds kind of interesting.  The Navajo chants might remind me a little of Art and his love for Cusco.  Every time Art would spin a Cusco selection, it either brought to mind visions of the American Southwest or the Peruvian Andes.  Unfortunately, it just makes me kind of sad when it plays on C2C now.  Reminders of a better time on radio.  I was a little surprised when I learned Cusco was actually a German New Age group, of all things.

I remember his interview of the Cuzco founder a looong time ago.

I was throwing together some stupid shit that Noory says into a video. I was going to make it several minutes long, but I grew tired of it after listening to Noory for a few hours. I just couldnt take it. Heres a few though.

Seriously,

Snoory is not employed in the Public Sector where incompetence is a virtue. How does he keep his job?!?

Please tell me so I can do the same!

Oh shit these are funny.  Thanks for including the feather vs piano clip.

I just can't take Noory anymore and I miss this stuff.   There must be at least several minutes of this - minimum - on every show.

In war, some men throw themselves on grenades for their comrades; and in C2C, every now and then a listener will sacrifice his sanity by listening to hours of The Detroit Cretin to find George's Greatest Hits. And all for us. Thank you, coaster.

You know, all these years, and I too still shake my head in wonder at the sheer incompetence of the man.

Tremendous coaster! You'll join Paperboy's hero status if you make one of these a week. I was alternately laughing and cringing. You even get the awkward stutter words in there (er, uh). Brilliant!

Gd5150 thanks for the laugh. I just noticed georgies face in your avatar

I am wondering how long until Battros needs another $20 000.  The first $17 000 was for his daughter Jan of 2012 that Coast helped raise money for.  The second (a year later was for her hospital bills) was $24 000.  Oh, and if you could kick in another few dollars to help them move back to Seattle they would appreciate it.  Now only 7 months later we find that poor Mitch is bedridden and in constant pain.  I would bet in a few months we find out that this problem is nothing that another $20 000 could not fix...

Thank you for providing that.  I wonder if George has considered a career as a stand-up comedian rather than a lounge singer?

Juan

God, Allah and Buddha have all been with me.  The past two nights, I've gone to bed listening to Clark Howard and awoken to the last strains of Inca Dance.  I'm sure sNoory still sucks, but I haven't heard a peep from him for two nights. Ha.

Oh lordy, Coaster, I laughed till I cried!  I'm especially glad you got the part about Jorchie thinking he could kick a piano further and faster than a feather. I heard that when he said it and then forgot to post it for posterity. So glad you did. Thank you!!!! ;D

Could one actually kick a feather any distance?  It has almost no mass, but a lot of surface area that would meet air resistance.  I don't think one could kick either a piano or a feather a reasonably measurable distance.  Maybe 19.5 microns.

That's a safe bet...I'm pining for the C2C days of Mike Siegel.  ::)

Has anyone else noticed this? Snoorys incessant use of the phrase "of course", for some reason it pisses me off more then a lot of the other stuff he dose. He will just say it out of nowhere most of the time, I guess its like a filler for him or something...

Dear George:

Edward Snowden is now seeking asylum in Russia.  Do you still think he's a hero?   The man purposely sought US security clearance so he could obtain classified information - then ran to China and Russia with it.

Do you think Snowden may share this information (if he hasn't already) with his new best pal, Vladimir Putin?  Is that good for America, George?

What will you tell your tin-foil hat-wearing, double digit IQ, truth-seeking Coast Insider fans tonight?

where's your evidence that Snowden intended to defect with intel? this sounds as likely as Truther and Birther conspiracy theories

Juan

Of course, we've noticed.

I'm picturing a  regular sized piano - big and heavy.  That isn't going to even budge.  But a feather laying on the ground, isn't that going to go at least as far as the follow-through of the kick?   I sort of picture it going a foot out and maybe 3 inches high, then sort of fluttering back to the ground.  Depending on the feather I guess.  But at least it moved.

Listening to George and Richard C go back and forth one may as well be parsing the chatter of a couple of squirrels.
