I discovered "Contact" is on the Syfy Channel tonite and realized it was the perfect alternative to idiot Jorch. First time I've seen it in many years and I had a wonderful flashback when Dr. Hadden gets close to the camera and asks Jodie Foster "Wanna take a ride?" That was Art's favorite line. Then I felt rather sad. Art was at his peak back then and this movie meant so much to him and why not? It's intelligent sci-fi. I daresay an example of fiction that's more intelligent that Jorch on any given night. I hope Art's watching along with me over the hill in Pahrump. We miss you Art! Take us for a ride again some time soon...

Funny you should mention that. Art used to have Team Art Bell and other groups.

Snoory has his Coast Insiders.

Maybe we should call ourselves The Outsiders and have the Steelers colors with shirts that say George Noory Sucks.

Or perhaps just the symbol for element 115 and Noory Sucks on it.

Or maybe a shirt with some kind of equation on it and the final answer would be something like :

BS + MC2*2  = George Noory Sucks.

I don't know a way to display scientific symbols on a Mac ( yet ) or I would.

Tuning in on the ride home I just heard George stumble and fumble his way through an advertisement for Life Lock: Identity Theft Protection. He sounded like he could barely read what was in front of him. I wonder if the companies that pay for radio spots actually listen to them or just look at the numbers? I'd be pissed if I was paying for that garbage.

On 376-E (formerly 279-N) into Pittsburgh from West Virginia, Robinson or the Airport, the DVE building has been blinding unsuspecting motorists stuck in traffic for many years now. On a normal, cloudy day, it appears to be an innocuous radio office. However, on sunny days, BLAM! EL DORADO, LOST CITY OF GOLD!



This building is also used to fry large quantities of ants.

I decided to listen to this one live and used my headphones. I fell asleep. The point is I cannot put into words the terrifying horrors Noory brought out in the form of hellish nightmares. The simplest one was me being interviewed by him for a job and having to act interested in what he had to say.

I used to think she sounded like a chain smoking robot, but I've come around. shes getting older and shes obviously reading reports on the air, so its different than just casually talking. I quite like LMH now. When it comes to legitimate guests on coast, she pretty much stands alone. (except for people like Kaku, who obviously have no business being on such a lousy show) I just wish she would lay off the "mystery booms" nonsense.

The once a month when LMH is on is one the few times I may actually listen to a Noory show.  She actually seems to be sincere about her interest in the paranormal and isn't a complete scam artist or crazy, such as The Numbers Lady or The Hoaxster.  But, by far, the best part is when she's giving her reports, The Nooron isnt filling the airwaves with his idiotic comments.  He's busy flossing his mustache or playing Battleship with Tommy.  You only have to put up with his "amazun!" or "sumpthun's  happunun, Linda!" at the end of her reports.  It's even better when she slaps him down on occasion by pointing out his idiocy.  It's like listening to a schoolteacher chastise the village idiot of the class.
