Quote from: RadioGaGaGirl on April 25, 2009, 05:51:15 PMHmmm...in my mind's eye, I can hear George utter:"You know, this reincarnation thing, according to many experts, it just keeps on happening to some people again and again. Unbelievable! It's like some kind of de sha voo all over again or something like that. It's like repeat episodes of The Twilight Zone, only our repeat lives are in colour, not black and white."GOD, darlings....help us all. I need a stiff martini.
Quote from: Dixie Butcher on May 12, 2009, 05:07:55 PM First hour last night, GN had Zecharia Sitchin on. For one thing, I'm perpetually annoyed by Noory's pronunciation of his name, saying "Zacharia" -And then all of the butt-licking going on was galling, but not as much as GN claiming to have read 7 of Sitchin's books. ; In the interview I did with Noory, he claimed that he was a "speed reader" and was able to "pick out the meat" of any given book. This from the man who said to Sitchin: "You capsitalized it all into one book."I still have a headache from my eyes rolling back into my head during the first hour last night. I wanted to listen to the entire show, because I knew it would yield some classic lines, but in the end I opted for sleep. Oh well. Maybe next time. ......or not.

Quote from: Nboy on May 23, 2009, 06:59:58 AMHonestly, I think it may be the end of C2C as we know it. If not, I hope Noory gets his ass kicked out the door. Radio itself, as we know, is changing. I don't know how talk radio is fairing in your parts, but its pretty much being regulated to A.M. around here. Hell, even the majority of radio stations are becoming a thing of the past save a few dinosaurs that refuse to die. Every station I used to listen to has been taken off the air or completely reformatted to some godawful monstrosity of either hip hop, Spanish, country or religious in the last two or three years. There are no oldies stations, and only one classic rock which is slowly beginning to incorporate modern B.S. The only thing I still listen to at all is Car Talk and Wait Wait Don't Tell me, with the occasional N.P.R. news cycle. We have a decent local talk radio station, but half of the time they are doing a live broadcast from some terrible local business which results in 40 minutes of a 50 minute show talking about the product they are pushing.I am considering forking out a couple hundred dollars on a shortwave to listen to some of the Euro channels. I have tried podcasts but it doesn't feel the same. Even if I couldn't pick up and intelligible channel at least I could entertain myself looking for numbers stations.
