George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 01:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No
These guys all tell the same BS stories and pervert science with the same tired, old peudoscience explanations.  George should just start interviewing a web page.

What did the ancients think of ancient cosmology?  Well, I guess they thought it was contemporary cosmology.

Howard Bloom is the expert on humanity now, hahaha. Talking about people being uptight... so he brings up marijuana and other drugs to combat it. Yikes.

I wonder if Bloom is a Bill Walton fan.

Question: did Jorch ever do a "choo choo train" impression on the air, or was this some fever dream I had?

Turns out there was even a thread created, YouTube took the video of it down though.  The posts are pretty funny - you know those rat eaters, they don't like anytheeng, nuth-eeen

George visits Bellgab:

Monty Python - Holy Grail French Taunting

Edit:  I intended a different, shorter clip but close enough

This dude may be saying something interesting, but his monotone makes LMH sound like a 4-octave opera singer.

Do you remember that guy who always phoned Art and talked about the magog and how they were trying to destroy the Sun by sending rockets full of salt?...

That does sound familiar, not sure.  But sounds cool.  Should be a movie.

I've been sleeping.  Doesn't sound like I missed much.  Cremo sounds a bit like Droopy Dog.

I guess Cremo has put everyone to sleep.

Watch my Monty Python clip.  It's a nice diversion from the drudgery

It was real, and it was spectacular.

I love that movie. I've been a big fan of Monty Python since I first saw them on PBS TV in 1973 when I was 6.  The killer rabbit scene in that movie still leaves me ROFLMAO.

Heh yeah, that scene left an impression with me as a kid too but, y'know, I was only 5 in 1973.

Yep George.  Your end is near.  Very appropriate bumper.

I'm trying to sleep so his tone is helping, but his discussion is interesting so I keep unintentionally fighting sleep. It's a conundrum.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of listening to it live.  It ranked right up there with the night he couldn't figure out a tuning fork.  No wonder a pizza roll almost took him out.

Cremo: "I am of the same opinion as you, George, on this topic."
George: "Yeah. Me too."

What's with all these fawning callers?  Every damn nite.  "Wow you're really hitting it out of the park, George!"  "You're just doing a great job!"  "Mr. Noory it's an honor to speak with you, I just love your show!"

They're either paid shills or acquaintances of the people who work on the show.  Can't be anything else can it?

Except...maybe it's The Noorie's second head, constantly driven to praise the main ego head with fake platitudes under the guise of actual living human beings.

Anyone catch Dave create his own new theory last night?

Sorry Dave, but Mark Mothersbaugh and Company beat you to the punch... 38 years ago!

DEVO- mongoloid

and they even wrote this great song about you!

The lyrics describe a man who has Down syndrome yet leads a normal life... sounds like Dave to me!

I like Cremo but he's been on a bunch of times and he doesn't say anything he hasn't said a bunch of times before. I'd still like to get his first book though.

Dave: 'When they found this 2.8m year old jawbone, why'd they get so excited about it?'

That's a great question, Dave. I can assure you if I'd been in charge of that dig there wouldn't have been all this fuss.
'You found what, now, Bob? A jawbone. Really. Is it old? About 3 million years, you think? Is that all? Toss it in the garbage, Bob. We're up to our ears with that stuff.'

Face meet palm.

Cremo:  The space shuttle was a craft which had wings like a plane but it was really considered a spacecraft.  It could glide like an airplane but it was built to be used in space.  It had wings so that it could be reused, because regular rockets aren't recoverable.  The United States had a fleet of several which were launched into space, spent a couple weeks up there, and then glided back down to the Earth.  We used to operate them as the backbone to our manned space program but they were retired recently....

(not written verbatim)

Thanks bud.  What did you call this fantastic creation again?  A space... shuttle?

That was just the short version.  The whole night was like that.  I'm not sure how any of you like this insufferable bore, but all the power to you  :).

The first time he was on he told fascinating stories of archaeological anomalies from his first book.  I agree since then he hasn't added anything new.

According to basswood's d&d entry, The Noorie's mustache "is capable of detaching itself and flying great distances to deliver messages".  So perhaps it's flying around, and whispering in callers' ears exactly what flattery he wishes to hear.
