George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

No, several years of drama and tens of thousands of posts about Art's show, followed by the chronicling of the many ways in which Dave Noorie sucks got nuked into orbit by the owners of the forum.   The forum had been active and fun, much like this forum, for several years before the PremRat Noorie stooge appeared, almost exactly as he did last night.  Too many schisms, too much polarization, too much divide and conquer successfully implemented by PremRat and the Noorie-bot.  The saddest part of it to me was the nuking of several years worth of nightly live chatting about C2C when Art was at the helm, hosted by Spike Mike.  You've heard what happened there.   At the time, FF was considered "Art's forum".  That's why it had to die.  And that's what's going on here.

To give you an idea of the extent of the destruction, at one time my user ID over there showed that I had almost 3,000 posts.  After the nuking, I had well less than 50.   And so it was with everyone there, thousands of members.  What you see at FF now is absolutely nothing of what it was.    If PremRat and Dave Noorie think they can accomplish the same here, they *will* try.

It would be easy to get caught up in the storm of "maybe he is nice after all". And maybe he is. The show he holds sway over still stinks. But Art's new show may well be the answer to all the dismay.

I have to say, Noory may well have been the focus of all my disappointment in Art leaving. Most likely he deserved the focus. But will I still be a hater... more likely it will now just be... Sorry Dave I have moved on, good luck.

I hate to read stuff like this.  I think it is valid to be concerned about the motivations of premrat and C2C.  I don't think equating that to stormfront is productive.

Two thoughts on that; I'm not sure if I would immediately believe dave and if Art does interview hoaxland I think it would highlight the difference between a dave interview and one conducted by an interviewer who is skilled.

MV, I'd also be intrigued to know how you confirmed that it really was Dave. Our money was on Tommy. The style seemed similar: the constant dot-dot-dotting........the horrible grammar and spelling. I would also point to the recent responses, even to messages sent to Dave's supposedly private address to the effect that GN would never see these emails.
But no matter who it was really. My main point here is utter disbelief for those offering respect and kudos to The Snooron. Really? Honestly? NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

I'm slowly being transformed into a state of shock with some of those now kissing ass on a GEORGE NOORY SUCKS THREAD.  I have suggested that the true haters remain and every one else should start a different venue...

     The Compendium can handle the drama.  As far as "haters" go a while back I took an unofficial poll on the subject of and the results were (as I recall) about 85% of Gabsters did not hate Norry, 14% did, and 1% were either "dementia afflicted" or straight up "psychos."  The results were immediately published (eh, like Hoagland "publishes" things) and sent to George in an effort to lose the "haters" moniker and get one measly Friday night shout out.  It didn't work then, but time, space, perseverance, and a modicum of decency as resulted in not only a shout out, but visitations  (and chupacabra) as well.
     I don't hate George.

MVs confirm is good enough for me....I listened to parts of the 1st hour last night but was out and about and normally don't check in here until the next day or two, so I put in my 2 cents without more complete information.

I think the thing to remember about this guy George is that he's an egomaniac and control freak in addition to being an inept broadcaster.  Coming here was some form of damage control and was done in a way that would gain him some form of sympathy or respect, which in some cases, worked for him.   In that respect, he's trying to co-opt the thread, you know, get some people on his side and divide and conquer.

Hell, what he did probably took three or four staff meetings to figure out how George was gonna play it.  Tough guy or nice guy?  Hat in hand or I'm-gonna-sue-your-ass!  Wouldn't surprise me if people above George's pay grade signed off on it too.

It's nice to know, however, that his people and now Noory himself is paying close attention to this thread if they haven't done so in the past.   But in the end, putting a pile of crap in a different box with clean wrapping and a new bow every night still doesn't make up for a piece of shit being a piece of shit.   

And that, George, is what the show is these days. 

I don't give a shit about any legal action or any of that nonsense.  He CAN'T sue because any judge (not bought and paid for!) would throw a suit like that out of court and probably try to have the lawyers bringing the suit to court disbarred!   Satire is free speech, covered under the 1st amendment, has been tested time and time again and MAD Magazine would've gone out of business in the 50's if it weren't!  This doesn't even cover all the critics and reviewers out there who flame away on a daily basis!  Thank goodness for the Bill of Rights (dwindling away as they are).
