Well Sybil...Gumby did a search on GLP concerning this sale (should have done this a looong time ago! YIKES!!!)  and check out the interesting stuff I found...this first link I haven't read all the way through yet but looks fairly revealing:

Hey Gumby, I have not read your link yet, but I had researched GLP a couple years ago. it is spooky indeed. I had foolishly attempted to private message  other ONGST members with links to such articles. I found that the GLP
"private message" system was being monitored for the banned words and subjects.

BTW - we do have a shortlist of banned words and phrases here - all of which are terms related to forums we despise.  However - they are handed by a bot.  Try typing nighthawkzone.com  - I mean - try the REAL name.  It will fail, I promise 

As for PMs - I don't know if the bot works on those or not!  As you can see, though, the way ours works - a human being (as opposed to a search spider) will still know what you're talking about.  And that's allowed.
