Obviously, I have NWIT on ignore, but I can only imagine that he is hysterically opposed to dividing the country because he would no longer have anyone but the likes of himself to blame for all that is wrong with their society, and no one's far fewer productive people's pockets from which to plunder funds to support it...

Lincoln, the first Republican president, was rather hysterically opposed to a divided nation, too, as I recall.  Look, there is clearly vast difference of opinion, but I think it's foolish to think the North America landmass known as the USA is strengthened by becoming two different countries, one red and one blue.

People like him never really ignore..

But because people refused to consider their fellow citizen's arguments with true respect, as has happened in all the other Countries mentioned, and as is happening here, it resulted in a war. Let's not forget that the argument in the case of the Civil War was over State's Rights and Slavery in the Democrat South - it's not very difficult to see the parallels today.

No one wants war but sometimes it becomes inevitable. It would be better to separate into two Countries sans violence.

Think of the upside - you wouldn't have us to blame for stuff. There is a silver lining in every cloud.

I honestly believe the only way to resolve this is through a Hot Civil War, or the absolute separation into two distinct countries...

Nevertheless, I want it now more than I ever have in my life.

You treat me like your enemy, and I will be your enemy.

... Your presumption, the foundation of your retort, is erroneous.  So is your attempt to re-cast the GOP as anything but the party of wealth and privilege. You might as try convincing people the earth is flat and that pig wings taste better than chicken wings.

The Republican Party is the party of the middle class and entrepreneurs.  It has been for quite some time, at least since the Reagan era.  Before that the Democrat Party was still pro-American, and the lines were more blurred.

Big Business loves the D's.  They like high taxes and tons of regulation.  In economic terms, high taxes and overregulation create Barriers To Entry for the smaller businesses trying to compete with them.  Big Business enjoys pricing power, has plenty of cash, and have loopholes built into the tax and regulatory systems that smaller firms don't enjoy.

Your party did that.  Your party put up those taxes and regs and corresponding loopholes - they did it for their Big Business friends.

So now you know why when you see people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid scurrying about to do favors for Big Business.  It's why it was a Democrat controlled Congress that handed out money to Wall Street and the banks from 2008-2010.  It's why people from Bill Gates to Warren Buffett speak out on behalf of the D's.

The D's attack companies like GE for paying no corporate income tax - that's for public consumption, for people like you - but of course do nothing about it.  At the very same time Obama appoints GE's chairman Jeff Immelt as the chairman of his outside panel of economic advisors.

Why do you think Marx and Alinsky both hated the middle class and advocated it's destruction?  Why do you think Obama is doing his level best to follow through with that?  Is it because the middle class are part of the Dem's base and the GOP is the party of the rich?  No.  Is I because the middle class loves Socialism/Marxism/redistribution so much?  No.

It's because the middle class are the ones who made and keep America strong, and are the ones standing in the way of some wished for Marxist utopia.  And they mostly don't vote Democrat anymore.

You'd be better off explaining relativity, in English, to a Chinese person that speaks no English whatsoever, and has never taken a physics class.

People like NWIT and Cyanide aren't here to compare and contrast - they are here to make up for the emptiness that surely must infect their every waking moment.

THE OPTIMUM DIVORCE

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950′s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a our separation agreement:

â€"Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

â€"We don’t like redistributive taxes so you can keep them.

â€"You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

â€"Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops , the NRA and the military.

â€"We’ll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and the coal mines, and you can go with wind, solar and bio diesel.

â€"You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O’Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

â€"We’ll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.

â€"You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, home boys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens.

â€"We’ll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO’s and rednecks.

â€"We’ll keep Bill O’Reilly, and Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

â€"You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

â€"You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we’ll help provide them security.

â€" We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian values.

â€"You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. But we will no longer be paying the bill.

â€"We’ll keep the SUV’s, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volt and Leaf you can find.

â€"You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.

â€"We’ll keep “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “The National Anthem.”

â€"I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute “Imagine”, “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing”, “Kum Ba Ya” or “We Are the World”.

â€"We’ll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

â€"Since it often so offends you, we’ll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I’ll bet you might think about which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Agreed.  Since you really represent about 1% of the country, why don't you scurry off to Alaska?  Plenty of arable land, oil to drill, coastal ports, wildlife to slaughter, natives to genocide, places to fly Confederate flags, and time to corn hole each other until the polar bears come home.
Oh, and you're keeping O'Reilly.  As well and Wango Tango Nugent, Neil Cavuto, Ari Fleischer, Darth Cheney, Breitbart's bloasted corpse, Drudge's sludge, Malkin, Ingraham, Cupp, Coulter, Savage, Levin, Cunningham, Hannity, and, of course, pignuts Limbaugh.
And when you need help in 15 years of libertarian dysfunction, do feel free to ask.  We're the United States of America and we'll be happy to help.

Liberal Attorney Alan Dershowitz: 'I Hate MoveOn'

(CNSNews.com) - Attorney and Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz, who describes himself as a liberal Democrat, says he's disgusted by a petition on the MoveOn.org website that calls on the Justice Department to arrest House Republican leaders, including John Boehner and Eric Cantor, "for the crime of seditious conspiracy against the United States."

"I hate Move On because they're a bunch of radicals -- they're not liberals, they are not tolerant of differences. I am a centralist liberal, and I get along very well with centralist conservatives. What I don't like are extremists on either side, and Move On is an extremist organization and an irresponsible organization," Dershowitz told Fox News's Megyn Kelly Thursday night.

Dershowitz said he'd gladly defend the Republican leaders if they were tried for sedition: "This would really be an easy case to win," he said. "It's the same thing that some liberals tried to do to Tom Delay and, of course, his conviction was reversed in the Texas courts. What the Republicans tried to do to Bill Clinton. Let's punish people politically if you disagree with their politics, but let's not use the criminal justice system improperly."

According to the MoveOn.org petition, House Republican leaders engaged in a "seditious conspiracy" by using the threat of a government shutdown and default "in an attempt to extort the United States government into altering or abolishing the Affordable Care Act."

The petition had more than 35,000 signatures as of Friday morning.

"The idea of extending the criminal law and applying it to differences over politics would destroy this country," Dershowitz said. "Move On should be ashamed of itself, and the 30,000 people who signed that petition should be embarrassed to join in such an absurd petition."
