I have a Buck 110 but i like knifes i can open one handed so thumb studs are nice. Automatic knives are banned in my state but i am thinking about buying a Schrade SC60C with a push button lock and converting it to an auto with a spring kit from www.switchbladekits.com

I'd be careful if illegal. Even the non automatic knives can open pretty quickly, especially with practice and located in good position. Or a legal non-folder even. Wouldn't want to go down on a dumb knife charge and then put other things in jeopardy, have a criminal record, etc.

These knives pretty much sum up my carry options right now.  I usually carry the Buck with Burl wood.  I got it for Christmas several years ago and I think it is about perfect as far as size and weight for me.  The second Buck 327 usually stays in my car.  The large Case canoe I carry from time to time.  I have had it about 20 years and I haven't managed to lose it yet.   I leave it home more often  than not nowadays.  The red bone Frost was a gift from a dear friend and I carried it for a long spell and got much utility out of it.  My friend passed away last August so I retired the knife to the safe.   My wife gave me a SOG Fielder as a stocking stuffer a few years back but it is too big and heavy, felt like my pants were falling down.

I like the Case. And touching about the Frost. I got as a gift a small real "pocket" knife years ago made by Cutco (the company that is, sorta, a marketing scam (kids sell to friends n family mainly) but makes good quality USA made stuff.) Anyway, they lifetime sharpen or replace and when they sharpen, they sharpen. A few years back I was trying to, stupidly, lift a box with one hand, get my knife outta my pocket with the other, and open knife with one hand (no thumb button) in furtherance of opening said box without having to put down etc. Anyway, it sliced a finger good! And so sharp like with a razor where it didn't bleed for an instant. But gouge out of finger. Ha. Took a while to heal because it was like a "scoop" out of finger at a joint. Cleaned, bandaged, and makeshift splint and healed but still have an odd bump/scar at the place. Lessons learned!

Dreyfuss was so right on he left Tucker speechless  :)

That was great.  I agreed with everything Dreyfuss said.  I know he was a partisan Democrat in the past but it looks like he's fed up with that crap and I'm fed up with politics too.  We all need to be Americans first.

Yep. It's good to see people starting to move beyond partisan politics to something more reasonable.

Wow.  Usually when a celeb comes on to talk politics I tune  out but this guy was right on.  Jesse Ventura has been saying much the same for years now but Dreyfus is much more polished and without the egotistical mumbo jumbo.

Exaggerate much?  Many people who have guns don't have cannons.  I have a Ruger 17 and .308 Rifle.  However, I'm not opposed to people owning cannons.  You never know when they might come in handy should the world collapse or if the government decides it wants to take away our rights.

So I take it by your nonanswer that you are ok with a shadowy body controlling guns?

If the government wanted to take away your rights having a few guns won't make a difference. That argument may have been persuasive two centuries ago but the advances in weaponry mean that a government could level a town or towns, if it felt like it, and down goes your piffling resistance. The only option is to participate in the democratic process. In any case, people don't need to be oppressed by a hostile force because history shows us that the masses are perfectly capable of doing the job themselves, even if it is against their own interests.

I'd rather you weren't so addicted to shooting each other but, like most things involving the lunatic right wing fringe, you will never convince them with arguments. You just have to wait for them to die out, to be replaced by a more sensible generation. That us if they haven't all killed each other first.

You cannot possible believe that StarrMtn oozes anything resembling bitterness.

You should get out more. Anti-Trumpers wake up to a bottle of Angostura.

She lives out at the arse end of nowhere but seems to think she's permanently on the verge of being carried off by hordes of swarthy immigrants. Ignorance isn't a virtue.

I think you're confusing your sexual fantasies with Starr's intent again.  ;)

A few guns?  There are far too many out there for them to orchestrate any type of grab.  If they could have, they would have by now.  Guns are too much a part of our heritage Mr. Vashtar.  That will never die out.

I'll agree with you On the point about going against our best interests sometimes.  I live in Kansas...no better example for finding a people who consistently vote against their best interests, but even we wake eventually.

Of course she is getting deported because her daughter is an illegal immigrant activist.

The 33 pounds of cocaine in the car and $600k in the apartment had nothing to do with it.

Grief fuels California father’s fight to end illegal immigration

Quote
Rosenberg, a former Democrat who today doesn’t identify with any political party, usually receives several calls a month from bereaved family members seeking information about a criminal living in the country illegally or they are searching for legal and financial help in the wake of a crime. He shares his personal experience, he said, and now will refer them to the VOICE office for greater support.

“The illegal aliens are not victims; they are the perpetrators,” Rosenberg said. “Many of them are nice, hardworking people … but there’s more than enough crime” that they commit.

Quote
Rosenberg has also submitted a declaration in a federal lawsuit filed by the institute in October against Homeland Security on behalf of Californians for Population Stabilization. That lawsuit is seeking to compel the federal agency to evaluate the environmental impacts of both legal and illegal immigration under the National Environmental Policy Act with the hope that it will lead to “better policies,” Axelrod said.

In the affidavit, Rosenberg lamented the increase in population and loss of open space, wildlife sightings and hiking trails that decades ago surrounded his home on the western edge of Los Angeles County. Driving into the city of Los Angeles often takes two hours due to heavy traffic, he said, when he used to be able to do it in a half hour.

Rosenberg said for much of his life, he hadn’t realized how much the government “got away” with its mass immigration policy “by hiding from (its citizenry) the scale of immigration and its consequences.” But that changed after Roberto Galo, an unlicensed driver, struck and killed his son as he rode his motorcycle, running over his body multiple times in an apparent attempt to flee the scene, he said.

Bernie supporters should not put up with this DNC doublespeak.

Bernie should start his own party.

Tell them to stay away fron the brown acid.
