So bars and many restaurants shut down or bankrupted out. No football tailgates. No schools except online. No Frat parties. No gatherings. No church.  Many businesses shuttered. Social distancing and masking (not these rules only apply to non-homeless or non-BLM protestors though.) Increased property and violent crime. But now allow more drunks on the street- because they are minorities? Sounds like a good plan!

Having said that I'm, generally speaking, against open container laws in public or in vehicles. But a weird time to change rules.

“(This decision) is yet another step towards erasing inequities that have existed in our city for generations,” said council member Natasha Harper-Madison. “This is also an example of how some of these inequities can be hidden in policies and practices that most of us don’t know even exist. You will now be able to responsibly enjoy a beer while taking a neighborhood stroll.”

LOL.  Yeah, that “inequity” has been keeping me up at night.  Beer me. ;)

The BEST part? Is this change is a result of gentrification of the East Side and the white yuppie, techno nerds, and condo and developers wants the ability to have expensive craft beer outside walking to downtown or in the newly build trendy bars (which took the place of the black bars, hair salons, rib joints, small businesses, and housing) in their skinny jeans listening to their airbuds. There is no way it is a result of actual 'quest for justice' to be drunk, or at least drinking, in public. Area gentrified and, surprise, laws change!

Beer me also. I've been "profiled" decades ago several times when I was in East Austin and pulled over and questioned by cops. Because "why a white guy over here?' I knew some of the first gentrifiers and property values went up $$$ there! To the police's credit- I was not beaten, arrested, fined, or anything because I simply politely answered their questions only and didn't flee or make furtive moves- or attack them. Strange how that works.

One of the few decisions my mommy will not let me make that I am not necessarily in complete agreement on. Still, she has not been far wrong before, so I am going to stick with the lich.

Maybe your Mom is suspicious is due to the fact that poor Haddad doesn't even have one pretty girl,  whereas the other guys have two each.  Are they scared off due to the porn 'stache or is it something darker?

i was told today that having a black daughter and being a trump supporter is contradictory and how do i live with myself ..
i said what do you mean ?
he said you have a daughter thats a poc yet u supporst a racist
i said what has he sadi racist
he said well look at all the supremacist groups that support him
i said okay well if i was running for president and the lgtb community supported me ... does that make me gay ? he hasnt responded yet.

I gotta think that the Commander In Chief of the worlds most powerful military getting a virus that was designed/released from a Chinese Level 4 bio-unit has got to be a major political win for the Chinese biological weapons program.  They now know they can deliver a virus to the President, perhaps next time the virus attached may be even more virulent?  Looks like it took about 10-11 months to reach POTUS.
 
If you take out Trump(POTUS) and Pence(VPOTUS), the new POTUS would be the current Speaker of the House of Representatives, which is held by Nancy Pelosi.
Never before in the history of the United States of America has it ever been more important for the POTUS and VPOTUS to remain isolated from one another.

Maybe.  There are plenty of Constitutional scholars who think the law putting the Speaker in the line of succession is unconstitutional.

We are all waiting for him to take down the walls at the Vatican and let the Muslim hordes in, give away all of the art collections, open up the archives for everyone, sell off all the churches and school property, fire the Swiss Guards and your security, and give the SWIFT number and passwords for the Vatican Bank and Vatican Bank accounts elsewhere.
