Positive Reinforcement for Great Posts Here

I realize that I was making an a** of myself by replying to posts by saying "atta boy" and stuff like that.  I guess internet mavens called this "me-too-ism."

Huffington Post mostly is an online National Enquirer with non-threatening center-left politics, but readers are allowed to click on a button when someone writes a particularly perceptive post.  This happens so often on this esteemed message board that I wish that I could click on the same type of button here.  There certainly are smarter posts here than there are on Fluffpo.

I've always thought that facebook should include both like and dislike buttons. Sometimes something isn't worth responding to but you wish you could somehow express dispassionate disapproval anyway just to get a shot in. These options would probably be well used (at least provide some amount of amusement) on forums like this one.

Guess I missed the playbook that said only asses gives attaboys to posters they relate to.  ???

The General

Nobody's making an ass of themselves when they do this.
And, yes, I think a 'like' button on every post would be a great idea.
