Houdini proved "Channelers and Mediums" were bogus in the 1920's, I will never give them any benefit of the doubt. As a magician, I can tell you that magic shops are ripe with "Mentalism" tricks, including "evangelical magic" and if most laymen saw what we did, there would be no doubt in your mind of how full of shit Channelers and Mediums are. EVERYTHING  they do are derivatives of  mentalism effects.

In the mid 80's I was dating a woman that believed channeling was "true". She took me to a "private" group session. There were 12 or so people in the group. Then this very normal looking woman walked to the front of us and sat  down. She introduced herself and then gave some background on the "being" she would be "sharing her existence" with. After many boring stupid codependent questions the channel-er asked if anyone else needed guidance. I raised my hand and asked for the best way to get our money back. I went home by myself.

You're going to have to be more specific in your title.  You could be talking about any guest on any night....

Good for you. It's important to call BS on these people. There is nothing worse than people who aren't intelligent who think they are. Some are so bold that they perpetuate cons like channeling thinking they can outwit anyone. I have seen some real kooks in my time, real BS artists and they are so easy to shred to pieces when confronted with pure logic. These are VERY egotistical people that want to be great at something and seek followers and narcissistic praise and glory. I feel really bad for the poor souls suffering emotional turmoil so badly that they feel the need to believe in these people. Part of this is they have logic problems, part of this is they are gullible, and mostly, part of this is they are vulnerable.
