Dr Steven Greer

I don't know how long it's been since the good Dr Greer has been on, but he is frequently on the Somewhere in Time or Classic Shows feature or if you have streamlink.  Nowadays, the good doc is leading expeditions to contact ET in various remote locations.  You can do that for merely $2500, not including travel or lodging of course, and $200 of that is for mandatory training materials, which is non-refundable and consists of books and CDs by Dr Greer, based on the website (www.cseti.com).  Apparently they go out and meditate and use some compasses and radar detectors to determine when ET arrives.  If you want to go, looks like you have to apply and interview before they will accept you for "Ambassador Training".   So I'm guessing, no skeptics allowed and from what I understand you have to sign a non-disclosure agreement to attend, also.  Can there possibly be a bigger charlatan than Greer?  And who would pay for this crap?  As the saying goes, there's a sucker born every minute.  Maybe Dr pay wasn't good enough for this guy??  Beats me.

To answer your main question, NO, there are very few bigger charlatans than Greer. He's in Dames territory.

I've always despised him. Biggest whiner and has a martyr complex. "I'm alone in this,Art!" Just another phony who was always referring to his "sources" and promising breakthroughs and NONE of it ever came to pass.

Anybody giving him money deserves to be swindled.

don't know why I was invited here, since I object to the pat-phrase 'good
doctor'.

'good doctor' is an age-old form of mockery that has become practically
meaningless today.

Don't get me started.

Roger

no, I get yer drift. And I'm fully with you being against anyone
capitalizing on such title.

One of the reasons I got sick of Bell who seemed to me to just love
saying the word 'doktor'.

I wasn't sure at first if he was mocking or was serious.

Time told. mockery wasn't it.

So....our alien overlords (as depicted in the Sumerian texts and the Hebrew scriptures) are actually from under the ground, and religion is merely an ongoing slave training system? MMMMMkay. Very Hubbardesque.

I see his name has turned up on a website related to his former partner in medicine Ron Paul.

Honestly, I don't mind occasionally listening to a nut like this, but Snoory's typical lack of interviewing skills and/or insight made for a fairly dull evening.

fysisist

He seemed pretty legit when i first became aware of him with the Disclosure Project, which I think was back around 10 yrs ago or so.  Then I read the book, which while not all that entertaining, was as I recall at least in the realm of reasonableness (at least as far as it goes in the UFO world).  But then somewhere along the line he went totally off the deep end into this new-agey, government conspiracy, free-energy OCD ranting mode.  Who knows?  Mental illness?  Ego-mania?  A little of both?  Beats me.

Roger

course I could be wrong.

Oh, yeah, I think your referring to L.Ron and that guy that
started Fate magazine.

I like your tongue-in-cheek sardonic humor very much. I just don't
understand why with such a marvelous opportunity for fun
and stuff to discuss and explore it all has to revolve around
such a short list.  It's listening to a gnat trying to kiss
yer ear.  Eventually, though cute at first, there are other
bugs out there with other bugs out there to talk about.

cwarner

When I first stumbled upon the disclosure project a couple years back I was fascinated and went to see what Greer had accomplished since then (2001) aaaaaand.. yeah.

Y'all need to get your shit together ufology-- Friedman's not going to be around forever.

Roger,

Thank you, sir, for the compliment on my humor. I am your humble servant and jester. :D

However, I can't take ALL the credit. Dr. Steve REALLY DID say our overlords come from underground. And yes, there are uncanny shades of the Shaver Mystery! Good call!

fysisist

yeah if I understand this correctly, and maybe I don't because I'm not too interested to do much research on it, but Dr Greer's theory is that the "good" ET contacts are with the real honest-to-god aliens and the bad or negative ET contacts are done by the bad bad military and government people that associate with the bad negative aliens.... or some such BS.  Dude should have just kept working in the ER...

Because Greer is such an asshole, I've done some rather extensive research into his background, and it's not pretty, including suspicious real estate transactions -his wife and his mother being involved in questionable/suspicious actions. His medical claims are wildly suspicious as well - being in the same profession, and living only a number of miles from Mr. Greer, I am in a somewhat unique position... but will not report my findings until I tie-up a few loose-ends as definitive proof. I am not at home, so do not currently have access to my archives - but I suspect I'll be able to reveal some information on Mr. Greer within a few months. Just to be clear, it's ALL publicly availble info.

Mystery43

I attended the conscious life expo back in 2010 and I sat in on Dr. Greer's lecture. He had his "bodyguard" there dressed in black military gear  wearing a back pack and a gun. . I thought holy shi# wtf? Should I be scared for my life too? There was some weird guy in the audience that kept moving seats and finally the body guard guy left and security kicked out the weirdo moving seats. My friend and I were a little freaked out by the whole thing.. the weirdo had a backpack too that he left on the seat.  It was very random. I felt like I was in a twilight zone episode. anyway, Dr. Greer started talking about coming to his weekend seminar and how he can contact the aliens and he has one that always appears (he had a name for him but I can't remember) .. he was showing pictures and pointing out things that I could not see. He lost all creditability to me after that nonsense..

I just watched a 2 hour ufo documentary on youtube and it mentioned Greer, so I had to visit his site. 2500 dollars to sit in a field and look at moths loving light beings. sounds like a monumental waste of money great deal. I was seriously thinking of dropping $99,999 to become a level 9 ambassador...

You may have seen my post:

about my upcoming exposé on Greer - I'm waiting to obtain a few more details - but there is some info in the post above. There isn't much about Greer I don't know... if you'd like to see his house on 62 acres where you can, "sit in a field and look at moths loving light beings," simply paste the following into Google Earth. I've been by his house (I don't live far from him), and it is a lovely place. Two summers ago, his wife had a new covered porch ($12,000) and solar panel system ($20,000) installed at their mini-mansion estate.

He really does. Somehow I dislike him even more now, which was heretofore unthinkable. He looks like a bald Bernie Kopell...but creepier. Check his floorboards.

Rasputin

I believe this is the same guy that claims he has a body of a real alien...he just needs several hundred thousand dollars to produce the documentary. :o

Alex Jones should have him on as a guest sometime.

i find it frightening that this guy was/is allowed to practice medicine.

Dr. Greer was on with John B. Wells the other day, and he told a story about how one of his "intelligence contacts" tipped him off, days in advance, that "an event" was soon to occur, that few people would understand the significance of.

Dr. Greer then goes on to ascribe particular significance to the Norway Spiral event happening at the same time as President Barack Obama's receipt of the Nobel Prize, and then claims that the Spiral event was the demonstration of a scalar weapon, to warn Mr. Obama of... well, I don't know, certainly.

So I went and looked it up, and in fact, the two events did occur at the same time. The award's announcement was on 9 October 2009, the Spiral on 9 December 2009, and the actual ceremony in which the award was presented to Mr. Obama was December 10.

Sadly, I do not have access to Air Force One's flight logs, so I'm unclear on exactly what local time the guy landed and the lightshow went off. I would bet dollars to doughnuts that it was exact--maybe at the moment the plane entered Norwegian airspace.

Or, you know, just a coincidence, and all you mealy-mouthed ass-clowns who posted above about how Dr. Greer is some kind of... what? Bad real estate investor? Whatever. Yeah, well, you can add this story to your pile of evidence to his malfeasance.

Whatever the truth of things are in this world, my truth is that some of you are obviously idiots. No one could possibly be paid to pretend to be this stupid.

Right: If I've got this right, Greer mentions a few days ago that back in late 2009 an unusual event occured that was for the benefit/warning towards Obama? But it's now, several years later that he's claiming he was given the tip off by someone in intelligence before said event, only back then he didn't deem it important enough to tell his disciples, sorry ambassadors?

Yeah, I can't see any flaws in that implication of credibility. I knew for example that the  current Ukraine crisis was going to happen in 2010 (March 15th I think) but back then I didn't feel it important enough. But I m now able to reveal my prediction. Crazy but true, and if you send me $5000 I'll tell you more.

No? You manage to do it for free. Incidentally any news yet on DG and how the missing Malaysian 777 got there? News being independent corroborated evidence of course.

Interestingly looking at that Google map and saw a business listed nearby Robb Associates International. Name seemed oddly familiar with me. Some internet sleuthing and I think it is/was run by Ed Robb (Edgar S Robb) a pretty famous FBI agent and then investigator. Maybe he should investigate his neighbor!

The headline here is not that "Dr." Greer was told the information beforehand or not--who gives a shit? Whether or not he is as "in the loop" as he so often claims, or whether he appropriated the story for his own purposes after the fact is largely, crucially irrelevant.

Well it's only irrelevant if you don't want the assurance what Greer says has any cedibility. Yes we know he's doctor, there's no need to insert it to remind us. I used to be married to a doctor but she could turn the title off when she wasn't in surgery. Steven Greer isn't in surgery when he's touting free energy he regretably can't prove exists. Or his alien buddies either strangely enough.

Yeah but imagine the trouble and embarrasment you'd have if there was no-one to point out all the obvious bullshit you'd read on CT websites that you'd otherwise believe as being fact.

Yeah? So what pray does that make you? You're the one who is claiming the Malaysian 777 is on DG, although you can't present anything to prove it, but because you think it, in your mind it must be true! Above you've said that anyone who has deep reservations about Greer is an idiot. You're the one who suggest I'd slandered you, but as yet haven't said how or what you intend to do about it...

And you're allowed to vote? Worse, you're let out unsupervised and no doubt because of backward thinking socialism*, you'd be allowed to breed if you could find a female with a pulse. Female of which species, is open to debate of course.

*Apparently it's universal to allow even the Conspiracy theorists to breed. Crazy but true.

That rebuttal is full of even more holes than that laughable "theory." Largely irrelevant, given that the U.S. Navy stole the plane before they landed it at Diego Garcia without shooting it down, but whatever.
