God, this is delightful

Noice! He's milking the Polybius legend and it looks like he got Mitner to do the graphics, another weirdo out of left field who's stuff I've always mostly loved. Reznor made his first album with a Macintosh Plus and an E-mu Emax synthesizer.

And Minter apparently released the Polybius game on PS4 and PSVR in May. Manchurian candidates to follow.  ;)

"Polybius eventually became real, thanks to the efforts of developer Jeff Minter’s Llamasoft. Minter, who specializes in trippy, arcade-style fare like Tempest 2000, Space Giraffe and TxK, created his own take on the Polybius legend and released it for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR in May."

I can't seem to get this one out of my head lately. The band was so tight in their prime. It's too bad Phil went on to become a schmaltzy lounge singer. He was an awesome drummer.

I liked the score of the movie "Dunkirk." It seems to intensify the tension. Upon looking it up apparently the composer used a phenomena called a "Shepard tone" and also synthesized Nolan's wristwatch ticking in the music.

I get slightly ticked off whenever I hear this song start playing on the radio:

It is whiny, bitchy and too millennial for my ear.  Plus, for half a second I think it is this awesome song:

I suspect a vast and ever-expanding musical Communist plot is behind it all.

Seriously though the guitar intros are close enough that if I am not paying attention I think it is the Diego Garcia song, which is whiny, bitchy  and millennial as well but it doesn't suck musically like that snowflake Lumineers garbage (The Lumineers really suck, I am sure they have one or maybe two songs that don't suck a bagfull of millennial donkey dick, but most of their shit is just that, shit.)

Carry On...

ediot:  there are some old hippy songs that have the same effect on me, i.e. the musical intros are close enough to each other that I think the shitty song that gets radio play is the good song that the shitty band seems to have ripped off or copied.  (My new Grand Unified Conspiracy Theory is that the loser Baby-Boomers and whiny Millennials have teamed-up and are in ca-hoots to bring down Western Civilization.)

I know there are a couple/three Iron Maiden fans here and I just noticed that they're releasing their own 5 issue comic series:
