Well, let's see.  The population of the US is 320 million.  The number of deaths at the Boston Marathon - from a couple of Moslem refugee ingrates - was three.

When it comes to media outlets I trust none 100%.  It always comes down to the degree of trust that one assigns to a specific source based on one's experience with that source.  Of course judgements are subjective and are subject to change; however, my background and training leads me to rely on empirical analysis and to try to suppress emotion and bias.  On that basis I make the judgment that, to varying degrees, network and cable news and most of the print media tend to favor the left.  The exception of course is Fox News which clearly tends to the right although I've noticed that since the election and exit of Roger Ailes, it has swung back towards the center to a noticeable degree.

In the end it boils down to what makes sense to the listener and how whatever is said comports to previously established facts.  Of course this can be influenced by the way that "facts" are presented which can be as dishonest and deceitful as outright lies.  This is what is euphemistically referred to as spin.
