Go on; how is it better?  :)

We don't have a royal family who sucks up the majority of our lands, rights and resources, for one.  ;)

And more to the point, they don't create new laws or change existing ones.

TPP hasn't been ratified - the current president simply isn't going to pursue it.  Freezing federal hiring breaks no law.  Reinstating Mexico City policy actually brings the government back into compliance with the Helms Act.

Absolutely. I found nothing odd or objectionable about today's executive orders. There just wasn't anything surprising there. It's actually refreshing to see compared to Obama where you had no idea day to day what he was going to try to pull, be it an executive order or tossing out thousands of new regulations on a lark. If today was an indication of how Trump will issue executive orders from here on out, then all is well.

I don't think Pud quite gets that we have a different system here than they do there.  And that it's better.  That's ok, Obama wouldn't have any of that either - which goes a long way towards explaining why his party lost so many House and Senate seats, governorships, and state legislatures when he was in office.

I think Pud suffers from the echo chamber effect just like most left of center these days, though to a far lesser extent than the snowflake SJW's. You believe what you want to believe and you sort of surround yourself with information that only backs that viewpoint up and you stick to that zone.

Arguably we still have our "Empire", or at least, influence versus yours who, I think historically, lost it in in the fastest manner in history. (Though there are those who will say that The City etc is still in "control.")  ;)

Here's a shocker for you guys. I like the actions Trump took today. Therefore, you might want to re-consider your stance on these issues

Nope! Reasonable, thoughtful people can still agree and agree to disagree independent of divisive BS politics.

There is a shocking display of agreement and civility on this thread that must be nipped in the bud.  Somebody say something about somebody's legitimacy and toilet habits right now.

As a proud Jacobite, I support queen president Hillary for the throne.  She has the royal bloodline and the emperor is an impostor.  ;D

I know the truth hurts, snowflake but acceptance of it is the first step to making your own country great again. Why don't you stop ignoring the will of your own countrymen (and women) and join the party rather than continually shilling for elitists?  :D

The civility is only going to get worse.

In Nixon's final days, he was so deranged that Alexander Haig told the joint chiefs to ignore any military orders from him. They gave their assent.

I'm sure big boy Reince is very aware of that.

You mean the guy who told the country he was in charge when Reagan got shot? Whoops! VP is next in line. :D

There seems to be a consistent credibility problem with your references.  ;)

so far.... what thing has the Trump administration done that we were told he couldn't/wouldn't really do once in office?  ;)

There's a first time for everything, I suppose.

Every time I see Reince Priebus, I expect him to mention his wife, Morgan Fairchild. Yeah, that's the ticket.

You know, I actually know who the Jacobites are.  They are a Jewish men's group dedicated to good works.  Oh no, you must mean the historical Jaccobites who were supporters of Bonney Prince Charles.  And yes they were natty dressers.  I particularly like the dirk in the sock thing.  I'm thinking about reviving the style.

Wasn't he half Italian and ran off back to France when the Duke of Northumberland's murderous bastards took over the field at Culloden?

As an aside; I've worn a kilt and the full dress. Sweated like a stuck pig.

Jeez, I had to race back and make sure I spelled dirk correctly.  You won't believe how I thought I might have misspelled it.   :(

I was a Jacobite back in high school.  Basketball league play.  Won all our games until we went up against those damn Camels.

Yeah well that was the spin that the press put on it at the time but he was actually half Gypsy and he didn't run he took a ship back to France because the Chunnel had not been built yet.  Hey I gotta get some sleep.  I'm getting really weird here.

Been to Culloden? May have due to your former job. Its eerily quiet, still. Much smaller field than I imagined it would be.

Geez, I hate throw cold water on all this newfound and refreshing BellGab bonhomie, but someone has to keep an eye out and report the fake news as it breaks.  :D
