You live in North Carolina?  What part?  Asheville, Boone?  Raleigh? Charlotte?  Just give me the county if you want.  There are Democratic enclaves in parts of the state.

How very dare they!!

I don't think we are referring to the same case.  I don't remember his profession being mentioned.  I think the mom and sister owned property together and the son wanted it, so he was planning to kill both.  It was in New York.

I live Near Elizabeth City.

If you want to name the more liberal counties, Wake isn't one of them, and neither is Mecklenburg County. Orange county may be the most liberal and maybe Watauga County.

Talking about rigged elections, everyone seems up in arms.

What? Oh, that's alright then!

Have you read 'Lord of the Flies'? Democracy in action...

No, of course it is not alright.  It needs to be fixed.  I have yet to see any cases of mass voter fraud on the Republican side.  Mayor Daley of Chicago was responsible for getting the ball rolling.  Guess whose son ran Al Gore's campaign in 2000?

I voted today. The line was quite long. The poll opened at 8:00 this morning. I got there at about 10:30 I had to wait for 45 minutes to get inside the building. As one fellow, dressed in that sleek marathon biker gear came out of the building and strapped a helmet on his head; as he was leaving he shouted "Hillary". Most of the crowd cheered. The fellow in front of me, decked out in a cap with gold embroidery on the bill did not cheer.

onan,..Did you cheered ? :P

OK.  Thanks.  I appreciate the info.  :D  I'm all for presenting a truthful narrative.  I definitely understand why a lot of people would not want to vote for Trump.  I'm just not quite there.

Gerrymandering is done by both parties. Some states are highly restricted by the Voting Rights act.

Texas has to get any redistricting approved by the federal courts and they have had to go back to the drawing board several times.

This is an argument for term limits if there ever was one.

If you don't think the democrats do it, here is a map for the stupidest person ever elected to congress. The one that asked if the Mars rovers would be able to see the footprints from the Apollo astronauts. The representative from "Space City". Sheila Jackson Lee. The one that shows up 12 hours early to get a front row seat for the State of the Union. Queen Weave.

Where did I say or imply it was done only by one party or the other? You seem to have a strange bent to your narrative. Hummm...

Wake County Primary Results from 2016

Democratic Primary

Hillary Clinton    77,927
Bernie Sanders  65,380

Republican Primary

Donald Trump    35,174
Ted Cruz             48,462
John Kasich        21,622
Marco Rubio       12,343

I would say Wake County does lean Democratic according to the last primary by about 10-20 thousand votes.

No, that wasn't a dig at you. In the first sentence I said both parties do it. The only reason I worded it like I did was because it was posted in the Donald Trump thread.

So... after taking a single years results of a county, you have determined that it's Democratic leaning. Brilliant deduction, Sherlock.

See this is why Science and Mathematics are important.

You'll have to excuse him. He went to a place of higher learning where everyone majors in animal husbandry because they're too dumb to pass any other courses.

1988: R+6.38 (Leans Republican)
1992: R+4.46 (Toss-Up)
1996: R+10.71 (Strong Republican)
2000: R+7.61 (Leans Republican)
2004: D+0.34 (Toss-Up)
2008: D+7.18 (Leans Democratic)
2012: D+7.59 (Leans Democratic)

My post on Wake not being liberal does come from living there for more than 20 years. As it stands Raleigh has been growing at an astounding rate and many that move here are more educated and from more liberal states.

I followed the politics of the area for about 15 years and then kind of lost interest.

I've been quite open about my views and opinions since my first post. I refuse to give a nickel to the GOP although I have donated to selected individual candidates.

I am really somewhere between a Libertarian and a Constitutional party believer myself, but I am a realist.

In Texas, you don't have to register with party affiliation.

I offer no apologies for how I think.

Nope. That would be West Virginia. We aren't even in the bottom 10 despite all the illegal immigrants. Just think how smart we will be once we get the wall built and Trump deports all the illegals.

Ah! Thanks for doing the legwork. At least someone can possibly see a trend with that data. Yeah lots of people moving into the RTP, tricities area. Quite a few with fancy sheepskins.

I know this will seem contentious, but really it is just frustration, that wall will never be built. Even if Trump is elected, it won't be built.

Well since we are supposed to have a complete border fence now, but Congress has refused to fund it, you may be right. But if he does win and Congress refuses to pass it, there will be more establishment candidates that lose their seats in 2018. Bank on it. If he gets elected and the GOP do not support him on this one issue, the people that have been supporting Trump to buck the establishment will find other candidates to run in 2018.
