Don't worry; there'll always be mayo, Starbucks and Safeways.

No, the graph is just something some 4chan dweeb knocked off on a lazy Sunday.  No sources, no methodology, just random bullshit.

4chan is just an image hosting site bro. This is an LA Times poll. But whatever makes you feel better.

Sorry to condense information down to make it easier to absorb.

What exactly does his Twitter account have to do with poll results?

You would see he's a biased fuck.

Quote from: Yorkshire pud on October 03, 2016, 08:21:49 AM

Is it a graph compiled by such as a recognised independent polling company?

Incidentally are you okay with his implied but catastrophically wrong causal link between vaccines and Autism?

I don't know enough about the subject to have an opinion.

Neither does Trump; and he's making comments about something he knows nothing about, yet knows people who know no better will believe him. You can be forgiven if you choose not to know; he can't.

This election cycle has convinced me I made the right decision to live out in the middle of nowhere regardless of who wins. This country really is fucked either way.

Note to MV! Someone must have infiltrated VQ's account. Total ignorance of a subject has never stopped him in the past.

Actually no; although I used to be married to a GP. But don't let not being a medic preclude you brushing up on the following; Andrew Wakefield; BMJ; GMC (who struck off Wakefield) and the none causal link between MMR and Autism.

Should keep you busy; as you're oft to say. Get back to me when you've read it.

LOL.  I know what you mean.  Having left the PRC (Peoples Republic of California) on my own terms and not as a refugee, I breathe and sleep easier.

Of course. I never break my word when mayo is concerned.

It really is shocking how much your mind and soul relaxes when you're not in a liberal city anymore. Police helicopters, street crime, crazy fucking people on every block and the cognitive dissonance that goes along with living in a liberal city aren't natural things and all go away when you live somewhere else? And it's going to cost me three times less in property taxes and a drastically reduced cost of living?  ???

You mean you won't miss involuntarily giving your money to Big Brother so he can flush it away and make all the libs feel good about themselves?  Hater.

I'd rather live in the People's Republic of California than in the Fourth Reich of Texas or Kansas.

It really is astonishing just how fucked liberal economics are. You don't comprehend it when you're young but when you're paying as much for a two bedroom apartment in the city as it would cost for a beautiful huge farm in the country a hour away while paying about half in energy costs, local taxes and a third of the property taxes, questions naturally arise.

Why do you keep conflating the vaccines with the adjuvants and the preservatives that included with them? It would seem your connection to the medical establishment should have explained that kind of thing to you before your balls were taken from you.

I assume it's just because you're an idiot fascist shill, but hey, I could be wrong. What's the real story?

Let's focus on why we're here.

He's referring to thimerosal, which lawyer Robert Kennedy Jr tried to take a case to court claiming that it can lead to autism in babies who also have some other condition.  He also appeared on Coast to Coast arguing this. Kennedy also said that this is a rare condition and that he recommends that everybody else should give their babies all the vaccines.  I discussed this with a very arrogant and dismissive scientist on some website who essentially said "Robert Kennedy is a lawyer and not a scientist, so I'm not interested in any of his claims."

I'm not a scientist either, but I think his claims meet the basic test of using data in an honest way, and he may have a credible case.  I also understand that thimerosal may no longer be used in vaccines, but he apparently disputes that.  I think dismissing him and the people he represents as being part of the anti-vaxxers like Jenny McCarthy is unfair.

I recommend buying guns and investing in a ammo fort as well. I have been buying extra ammo and mags lately and will probably buy a couple more AR15's in the coming weeks.

Not to pick on you specific, but I have seen the LA Times/USC poll being hyped huge among Trump supporters on twitter and pro Trump boards. There's at least 20 different polling companies tabulating results regularly yet Trump supporters are just focusing on this one poll. But why, does the LA Times have this great history of predicting national elections? Seriously what was their prediction for 2012 election, how close were they to Obama 4-point win? How about 2008 election, how close were they to Obama 7-point win? I honestly been looking around and I can't find anything. You can mock Silver all you want but the guy AT LEAST has a track record and he got 99 out of a 100 states correct in the last 2 general elections combined.

It's fascinating that they way Trump supporters look at something like polls might be the same way the look at science and I am assuming other political issues also. Is this how the Climate change deniers work? There's 20 studies out there and they find 1 or 2 that contradict and then wave it bey saying "The science isn't yet" even though those conflicting studies have no track record or resume behind it?

According to Real Clear Politics, the last L.A Times/USC poll in the 2012 election was in August of that year.

NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl   8/16 - 8/20   1000 RV   3.1   48   44   Obama +4
Associated Press/GfK   8/16 - 8/20   885 RV   4.1   47   46   Obama +1
Monmouth/SurveyUSA/Braun   8/15 - 8/19   1149 LV   2.9   46   45   Obama +1
LA Times/USC  8/13 - 8/19   954 LV   3.2   48   46   Obama +2

But, as you can see, their last poll in 2012 was consistent with the other firms' polls.

However, for this cycle, L.A Times/USC have changed their polling methodology quite a bit.  Even they admit their new methodology skews in the Republican favor.  I've already commented on this.
