If he drops out after all the filing deadlines, then that cements the theory that he is a Clinton operative.

Juan

We're already past the filing deadlines in many states.

The party’s Rule 9 states that the party has the power “to fill any and all vacancies which may occur by reason of death, declination, or otherwise.”

 ;D That's hilariously desperate.

Further down your link:
Q: Is there a deadline when nominees must file in order to appear on ballots across the country?

A: Yes. Filing deadlines vary by state, and the deadline to appear on military ballots comes up even sooner. But generally speaking, the party must submit the proper paperwork for its nominee by early September to appear on enough states’ ballots to win 270 electoral votes. Ballotpedia has a list of exact filing deadlines here.

So still possible for Trump to quit in October and hand it to Hillary.

I just now stumbled on these. Maybe I should find another news source. /pol/'s not workin out.

The fact that Trump's madness is still netting him 40% of the support means we've messed up somewhere in America.

Fox News was going to interview Trump this morning on his tax plan. The great vagueness in all his answers remains admirable.

Pretty interesting; plus Penn nicely segues to comments on Night of the Living Dead,
Lou Reed, and his new diet memoir.

Really like Jillette, a true libertarian. A lot of people like to claim to be libertarian but when push comes to shove they aren't and only claim to be to take cover when one of the two major parties they do support messes up. Jillette is not like that. Great stories about Trump.

So the big Trump-wannabe  Paul Nehlen in Wisconsin, who was the guy that all the twitter-Trumps loved and pushed to vote and the Trump cheerleaders in the media hyped up, got 16% of the vote in the Republican primary.

So yesterday Trump again put his foot in his mouth and needed a visit. Trump is pretty much the Springfield nuclear plant of politics, he needs a sign like the opening of the Simpsons " ___ days without doing/saying something counterproductive to his campaign"

Some crazy guy trying to climb Trump Tower in NYC. CNN etc showing it live. Cops have tried to accost him and he eluded them. Now they are removing some windows to try to corral him or encourage him to give up. Not sure the reasoning behind the stunt, just the usual of those guys who like to climb tall buildings or if he was an ex-military Special Forces or ninja that Billary has hired as one of their operative/button-men who was trying get access to Trump.  ;)

Wolf Blitzer is trying to make some odd point and trying to make connections between the climber, the SS, and Trump's supposed threat about the "2nd Amendment" and trying both interview some Congressman and give a play-by-play on the arrest of the climber. And this guy, the climber, is going "to give other guys ideas which is a very, very situation." CNN, and Wolf, is such a joke.

I have a feeling that his " backpack" is a parachute that hes going to use to base jump from the top of the tower.

I swear, every time I tune into a CNN political discussion, Wolf will invariably mention that so-and-so, "has to do well in Ohio to have a chance" and make it sound like he's sharing a profound insight. What a nitwit.

That never gets old! I love when Jeopardy! has the celebrity tournaments. Some surprises, to many, about how these "great" reporters are brain-dead idiots but some clerk in some grocery store or 3rd grade school teacher in "fly-over country," as they would call it, can sweep categories.  (I know simply recall of facts is not the only thing in intelligence etc but still.) Thing I hate when I 'play at home' about Jeopardy! is when they throw a modern entertainment or pop music type of category on.

Ha. I have to admit being "on air" or the forgetting of phrasing would likely "get me" I could easily beat those talking heads and so could any average Jeopardy! contestant (and likely a lot of man-on-the-street, at least in some places.) Can't beat these 'tournament of champion' folks but break even, or win, on normal show and beat the college shows (usually)-  unless they throw in the "popular" culture categories. I guess one could prepare for them but, ugh, that would be worse than reading unabridged dictionaries to prepare for a spelling bee.)  ;)

Trump "My Mexican wall is 50 feet high, nothing can scale it.
Trump Aide "Umm Mr.Trump take a look at channel 4"
reporter from tv "A Man is climbing Trump tower, he must be 200 feet in the air"
Trump "F@ck"

Great video Hedgehog. It does make your head spin.

So less than 24 hours where the Trump campaign criticized Hillary for having a father of a criminal at her rally. What does Trump do, have an actual disgraced politician Mark Foley to sit right behind him at his rally in the same state. He is literally sitting in the same spot (guy in red shirt/black jacket) You can't make this stuff up.

I was just thinking the same thing.  Stranger than fiction.  Each day more preposterous than the last.

Another character in this absurd tragicomedy, Julian Assange, seems to want to keep the spotlight in his corner, promising tantalizing new Hillary email releases each week.  But like Trump he's all hat, no cattle.  He recently teased he was going to hack Trump's tax returns (which I expected someone would have done by now), but then claimed he was just kidding.  I think he expects to be freed from his exile should Trump get elected.  Snowden too, given Trump's BFF Putin.

But... But Obama founded ISIL and "crooked Hillary" co-founded it.  How could you not vote for the only man in the race who will protect America from the group that the other candidate founded?  ::)

Here is the Aljazera link to pollute your browsing histories (though I'm sure you can find it on your favourite site.)
http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/08/donald-trump-accuses-obama-founder-isil-160811034359267.html

**And you wonder why I call the man a blowhard and a buffoon?

Fuck... I realize it is Aljezera, and I probably need to check a little closer (maybe they are taking it out of context?)  But since when is suggesting that people kill the other candidate reasonable?  For somebody to suggest it on Bellgab- fine... But a presidential candidate? "If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks," Trump said. "Although the Second Amendment people - maybe there is, I don't know."  (I know... he was just suggesting that they sign a petition or vote for him...)  ::)

Maybe Hillary and Trump could ride tandem in the back seat of a 1961 Lincoln convertible limousine through Dallas?

=Schlyder=

Trump didn't threaten to kill anyone.. or incite anyone else to kill Hillary.  He is referring to 2nd A people ( gun owners) to get out and vote for him.

It is to the level of insulting everyone's intelligence, this daily anti Trump garbage of lies, rhetoric, and insane comparisons to Hitler.
How about the left talk about the crimes committed by the Clintons/Democrats that are being covered up, and ignored.

I hope that some in the MSM still have a shred of integrity and refuse to continue favoring Clinton and the DNC.

It is funny how quickly left leaning people are to invoke Hitler whenever they want to destroy someone, but never talk about Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot/the Khmer Rouge, and others too numerous to list. This is what can happen when some groups want to 'fundamentally change/install a new regime/system' in a country and will indulge in any number of methods to eliminate opposition. Genocide can take any number of forms-  "mass killings", democide, politicide, "classicide". They also employ terror campaigns, civil war, land reforms,"purges", "repression" and "mass killings". It is estimated that communism has a death toll between 85 and 100 million people and yet they don't seem as worried about this ideology as they are of a defeated and long dead Hitler.

We are seeing police assassinated, domestic and foreign terrorism on American soil, anti American and Constitution groups seeking political influence, government agencies used to harass and destroy private citizens and opposition political/voter groups, and the MSM exposed as a propaganda apparatus for the DNC. More and more stories alleging collusion between private groups and government departments are emerging- what does it take for people to set aside this idiotic cheerleading for one side or the other and start demanding real answers and accountability? People here may hate Trump but at least he's asking some serious questions and the attacks on him are exposing the MSM for what they really are.

I wonder how many other groups of this type have emerged and are active in the US:
