Wow.  Trump's protection service is bigger than obummer's!  Probably for very good reasons.

One good reason. Biden is VP.

I wouldn't say I hate Trump.  I simply don't like him.  I pointed out a long time ago that Cruz was unlikely to win the nomination due to his lack of charm.  I've really been quite surprised about how well he has actually done.  I'm still holding out hope that Cruz can pull off an upset but I'm certainly prepared for Trump to be the nominee and I will vote for him if such is the case.

I hope Trump is sincere when it comes to illegal immigration but frankly it could very well be a stunt to win the office.  The man has flip-flopped more than any other politician in recent history.
I usually don't agree with you, regarding Cruz, but you do take the time and effort to form your opinions and posts.  You also strike me as a man of honesty and integrity.

I'll tell you this.  If you were were running against Cruz, he never would have made it this far.

The Establishment Republicans didn't want to have anything to do with Cruz.  Jeb was their choice.  We could go back and forth about who is the true anti-Establishment candidate but what's the use?  You are set in your beliefs and I am set in mine.  Time will tell especially if Trump becomes President.  The thing is we probably agree with each other for the most part when it comes to issues.  There is no point in bickering.  It only creates division instead of unity.
See?  See?  This, right here  ^^^ is what we need in our leadership!!!

Ya know, if you start right now, 21St, you'll be ready to go by 2020.  I know, but Trump doesn't have prior experience either and look how well that's received.

The implication Trump has integrity? Interesting.
You believe otherwise?

Quote from: albrecht on May 02, 2016, 06:19:37 PMArt's clothes might be the the equivalent of an infamous blue dress if Trump picked Newt as a running mate. He might even, after changing, go back on the air, ignoring his wife or stalker, to praise the ticket.
This might be one of those rare election cycles in which the presidential nominee doesn't get his pick for VP.  The reason is that, reportedly, a lot of nominal Trump delegates only count as such because of relatively recent GOP national rules that bind many delegates' votes on the 1st ballot.  So Trump gets the nomination for prez because he has plenty of those, probably with a few others he'll scrounge up from uncommitteds (even if most of the uncommitteds break against him).  So then comes the balloting for the VP nomination.  A large proportion of Trump's delegates are then unbound, so there's no majority on the 1st ballot.  Who knows who they wind up with for VP?

OTOH, Trump could make a deal to back a VP selection specifically to garner enough delegates to make a majority for both of them.  In other words, he picks one solely for reasons of nominatability.  Assuming such a candidate exists, that is.

Think about this...

I’ve heard several people say they just won’t vote if Donald Trump is the eventual Republican nominee.

But consider the following...

Justice Scalia’s seat is vacant on the Supreme Court right now. Justice Ginsberg is 82 years old, Kennedy is 79, Breyer is 77 and Thomas is 67. That’s five vacancies that could, conceivably, become open over the next 4-8 years. The next president will be in a position to potentially create a 7-2 Supreme Court skewed in their ideology.

Think about that.....

A Hillary Clinton thinking 7-2 Court. If the next president appoints 5 young justices it will guarantee control of the Supreme Court for an entire generation or more.

So if you’re disappointed in the election process and thinking of not voting for one candidate or the other please realize this; if Hillary Clinton wins and gets to make these appointments you will likely never see another conservative victory at the Supreme Court level for the rest of your life.

Ever...

Plus, she’s stated her first nominee to fill a court vacancy that might very well be Barack Obama. Barack living out the remainder of his life imposing his ultra-liberal ideology on the nation for years and years as a Supreme Court Justice.

And there’s nothing you can do about it.

Except vote.

A Democratic majority in the Senate would give Hillary almost all the help she would need to get her picks. And Trump at the top of the ticket will likely cause the Republicans to lose seats, and quite possibly their majority, in the Senate, thereby making your scenario much more likely than if they had someone less toxic than Trump running for president.

So when Trump voters finish getting their ya-yas out, Republicans and conservatives will pay the price for all those protest votes in the primaries. It feels good sticking out your middle finger, until it gets chopped off.

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/278488-trump-links-cruzs-father-to-jfk-shooter

QuoteDonald Trump on Tuesday morning linked Ted Cruz's father to Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who shot President John F. Kennedy.

During a phone interview on "Fox and Friends," Trump mentioned a tabloid story claiming Rafael Cruz was with Oswald before the assassination.

"His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald being shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous," Trump said. "Nobody even brings it up, they don't even talk about that."

"What was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death, before the shooting?" Trump asked.

The National Enquirer published images last month of what it said showed Rafael Cruz and Oswald passing out leaflets in 1963 in New Orleans, a few months before the JFK assassination in Dallas.

"It is garbage," Cruz communications director Alice Stewart told The Hill in an email Tuesday. The campaign also called Trump "detached from reality."

Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson on Tuesday defended Trump bringing up the claim, noting that the story got mainstream coverage from the Miami Herald.

"Really it was just a shock and awe that it showed up in the Miami Herald," Pierson said during an interview with MSNBC's Steve Kornacki.

The newspaper noted that the claim has not been corroborated and that Cruz's campaign denied it.

"Is there some suggestion, though, that his father had something to do with the Kennedy assassination?" Kornacki asked.

"Oh, I don't know, and I think that's why it was shocking and I think why Mr. Trump mentioned it, when the Miami Herald reported it, so I guess they're looking into that," she added.
Cruz's campaign dismissed the tabloid story as "garbage" last month, with Stewart telling McClatchy, "The story is false; that is not Rafael in the picture."

I'm on the same place on the spectrum and I agree fully.  Cruz is weak, flummoxed and imploding.

I know otherwise: you think he's where he is because he helps old ladies across the road and cares for animals in the school holidays? He'd shit on his own mother for a buck. I'm just amazed anyone intelligent would think he's a decent person.

But yeah, this is one of the main things I love about Trump. He'll say things that initially sound crazy. But then you track down the source of it and realize it's right. For instance him saying he thinks vaccines cause autism. Sounds fucking insane until you track down the statistics and realize he's probably on to something.

Some might say America's in its miserable state because we keep falling for the "a decent person" act instead of electing a street brawler who knows how the pols play their duplicitous game, and won't suffer political correctness or incompetence.  His company has 22000 employees...don't you think its odd we hear no horror stories from whistle-blowers of his purported misogyny, racism, bullying?

I think you'll find that the street brawler doesn't gain much respect or friendships. Now you might take the view; so what?
But out in the REALWORLDâ,,¢, you might find it isn't helpful. You think Trump's attitude has been well recieved all over the world? Far from it; and you might think that is irrelevant. Oh dear.

FFS, we elected a decent person as president in 1976 who ended up defining the term ineffective.

That really was an interesting choice...on paper he was perfect...super nice guy, Washington outsider, former submarine commander, trustworthy...at first it looked clear he would win two terms after the Watergate scandal tarnishing the Republican brand...one of the biggest chokes in political history...

as a side not, his brother Billy was kind of a George Senda character...that actually helped him!

LOL.  I'm going to have to start picking my campaign staff.   I'll select you as my running mate, starr.  MV can be my Secretary of State. The General can be my Secretary of Defense.  Paladin can be my Chairman on the Joint Chiefs of Staff as well as the Commander of The US Military.  I'll put Gravity Sucks in charge of NASA.  Aldous Burbank can be in charge of Homeland Security.  Ted Cruz can be my Attorney General. Trump can run the Labor Department.  I'll have to think about the rest.

Seriously, thanks for your kind words but I'm not sure that I could stand the scrutiny and the digging into my background.  No terrible skeletons in the closet besides the usual that most men have.

That is the most important issue in this election and why I could never vote for a Democrat under these circumstances.

I'm curious if this is going to affect the voting tonight.  Trump should never have brought it up.   If I was Trump, I would have raised myself above the fray at this point in the election.  He must still be scared of Cruz.

Of course it won`t lol. Did you not see Cruz`s interaction with those Trump numbskulls yesterday? I just heard a poll that indicated 37% of Trump supporters actually believe Cruz is the Zodiac Killer! Those people are allowed to vote! AND procreate!

No, I`m afraid Donald "P.T. Barnum" Trump has found his audience -- the glassy-eyed, dumbed-down American electorate. Turn the lights out....it`s over.

Trump definitely has the redneck vote.  I didn't know there were rednecks in Indiana before yesterday but that guy that Cruz was talking to fit the stereotype so clearly.  He clearly had limited brain capacity and could only respond to Cruz by saying "Lyin' Ted".
