In other news.

The two ex wives of Robert Porter (now ex staff secretary-pretty important job involving access to classified information) had a year ago made statements that he beat them both up. Needless to say, the religious leaders one of them went to was told to hang in there, she was also told that making a fuss would damage his career..

Anyway, the FBI didn't issue him with a full security clearance it seems now because they saw him as a blackmail risk. John Kelly of course knew Porter had assaulted his wife, including punching one of them in the eye. It's his job to know. But Porter still stayed in his job, right up to yesterday when the DM printed a story about him.

Then it became embarrassing for the WH I guess, because being an assaulter of women and the WH knowing about it (After all Trump can't really get sanctimonious can he?) isn't in itself a reason not to employ someone. It wouldn't surprise me if the first question to a prospective male employee is 'When did you last beat your wife?'

It's pure coincidence that Hatch (ex Mormon bishop) has also said previously what a wunnerful guy Porter is and such an accusation is a vile smear (In other words he's saying Porter's ex wives are lying-even though all the details have been out for years, including a restraining order on Porter), yet last night he also admitted he didn't know about his private life, really? So how did he know he was a wonderful man?

It throws into question Kelly's judge of character if he knew all this yet still considered Porter a great guy-Incidentally, Porter's current squeeze/punch bag is Hope Hicks who apparently helped Kelly write the statement he issued. I wonder how long Ms Hicks will stay Porter's g/f before she wises up.  :-\

Once again you speak of things you know nothing about.

Prove Kelly knew about it or “should have known”. When someone fails to pass an SBI or EBI for a security clearance, the DIS does not disclose the reason why the clearance was denied.

That being said, I hope Hope Hicks is smart enough to drop the relationship. You seem to follow these office romances fairly closely. You should tell Kelly that he should warn the guy off.

This rant is beneath you, Pud.  Abusers can be found in both parties and what is your source that the White House already knew? What's important is the bastard has been dismissed.  Remember how a certain President told Juanita Broaddrick to get some ice for her lip after raping her?

If that were the case he could put out another statement saying 'in the light of further evidence etc', and say he got it wrong and it turned out the guy was a scumbag after all. But he probably won't.

Somehow I think Donald had some help with this speech but I hope he is being sincere.  It would be nice to believe that people can change.  Much better than his comment on two Corinthians.

Yeah, we also remember how people like you were telling us that we couldn't accuse Roy Moore based on witness testimony years after the fact.

Are you seriously suggesting Kelly (That's Chief of Staff remember) had no idea about Porter when the two ex wives had made various people aware of his behaviour yet went unheeded? Wouldn't it make you a little curious and ask why he hadn't been issued with a full clearance a year after his appointment? Then again, security isn't a really big deal in this WH because Trump doesn't really care as long as he thinks he looks good.

We already parade and celebrate our military. It’s called air shows, fleet weeks, military flyovers at sporting events, flag celebrations. Why do you think the left hates these events so much. Watching their heads explode over another Trump troll is priceless. If it weren’t for the economic boom, the way he toys with their minds would be his number one quality. Is it any wonder these sheep believe the Trump/Russian fantasy, they fall for everything..

Is that what happens when one of the royals dismisses a personal assistant for something less than desirable?  This guy was a frikking secretary. We get it wrong sometimes. We kept Ted Kennedy in the Senate for 40 years after e killed a woman. We kept a President in office after it was disclosed he raped several women(including that one in Oxford that caused him to become persona non grata until he wasn’t).

I'm not saying they're not in both parties. My point is it seems that it was quite well known but he stayed in his job. I can imagine the outrage if Obama had a secretary who'd been found out doing the same yet remained in his job one minute past anyone finding out. As for being dismissed, he's only been dismissed because the Daily Mail published the story yesterday. Not because they didn't know until now. As I said before though, Trump isn't exactly in a pious position to criticise when it comes to assault.

You are the expert. You tell me what I am seriously suggesting. Did you read the divorce depositions?  I didn’t. Go for it.

Maybe it is something as simple as they gave him an interim clearance that expired after a year so that is whe they checked to see what the delay was.

So you do subscribe to Trump being supreme leader and not have to answer to anyone or anything? It's okay if you do, it just makes it easier to spot those who hate America the way you do.

I still don't believe we know the whole story about that.  You never lived in the South or in America, SV, but it used to be commonplace for 30 year old men to marry teenage women.  Such practices were commonplace up until recently. I'd never do that but our attitudes have changed towards such relationships in the last 50 years.  He did end up marrying a 22 year old lady when he was in his mid-30's . At least Moore never raped anybody.  Alabama isn't exactly New York or London.  It is mostly rural as you probably know.

They don't... Because contrary to what you 'think' not every soldier, sailor, airman and woman and their family vote Republican..Who knew?

Trump doesn't have the mental capacity to toy with his dick. He has one instinct, self gratification with bling. That's it.

He assaulted them. Nine women have said so far. And Moore hiding behind the bible (have you noticed how common place when well known people get caught doing bad things they mention'prayer', 'god', forgiveness from god' quite often?) doesn't absolve him.

I only saw one story where Moore and one of the girls took off their clothes to the knickers.  Most of the others he simply approached or maybe had a date. Maybe he tried kissing several but I never read of anything beyond that. When I think of assault, I usually think of something like a guy manhandling a girl and being rough with her. Do correct me though if you have a source. To be frank, I'm rather glad he lost because he was going to be trouble in the long term.

Once again you are full of shit. Go read again. 6 of the women did not accuse him of sexual assault. One of them, as an example, was 22 and rejected his requests for a date numerous times becuase hewas “old”. This is what you are calling sexual assault?

But there is the one that was 28 that said he grabbed her buttocks one time. Was that sexual assault?  Have you ever pinched a butt?

Yes if it's uninvited. And none consensual intimacy for me is a complete turn off. I can't speak for you of course.

Don't necessarily disagree with the second half of your post but one can hope. As for the first part,  Obama acted much the same way during numerous State of the Unions.  A lot of talk about working with Republicans but he really had no interest in working with Republicans.  He was going to shove through anything he could get away with and he did so until 2010 when the Republicans took the House. It is nothing new though,  State of the Union speeches are for the most part worthless.

Because if you remember we were discussing your limits and safe words, butt pinching was specifically not off limits. In fact you said you rather enjoyed it.

Turn that on its head. The Republicans held the house and put anything they could in to stop Obama. They didn't exactly want to work with the Dems or Obama. That was in the days when even the POTUS's party sometimes disagreed with the POTUS and didn't roll over and become invertebrates.
