You're asking which system of governance? Hypothosis I suppose? One that treats everyone with equal respect, and doesn't elevate politicians (especially the incumbant leader) on the level of gods. They should all be answerable and not use position to either tread on the people or to escape answering their own failures and misdomeanors. Neither should said leaders hide, obfuscate or use nepotism. And for every pledge they make on a campaign they should forfeit 10% of their total wealth if they backtrack or fail to deliver, per pledge, per each member of that party's governance. E.G. 100 members plus leader. Each pledge lie in office is 10% each of their total wealth. Going into the coffers to provide for all except those 110.

Wow- this is a lot to take in. Since there is no where in the world where this system is actually in place- your views are unique and I'm going to need some time to digest all of this.

I sincerely appreciate the effort and time you took to explain what you would consider the foundation for good governance. Ta.

One point I can comment on immediately is "equal respect". Respect has to be b]earned[/b]. Too many people seem to confuse common courtesy with respect. Everyone deserves to be shown common courtesy in a civil society. If you have to demand respect- you probably do not deserve it and will only receive it in the form of a pretense.

I look forward to more from you as we consider the points you have mentioned. Cheers!

For once in your life, WILL YOU JUST ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION?

Thank you, Pyewacket.  I mean every word! ;)

I know you do, starr. The disturbing thing is that that other one does, too.  ;)

It's a start- baby steps. I find Pud's response fascinating. I don't know why, yet- but I do!  ;)

I don't mean to butt in here- but here's a little scenario that will roughly explain it.

A drug addict needs a fix and has a choice of two houses to break into and rob. House one- older, single woman with no gun; house two- older, single woman who you know has a gun.
Choose the you think you'd walk away from in a fight.

That's how it works.

The junkie also had a gun, walked up to a old woman on the street, shot her in the face, and ran off with her handbag.

You idiots (with respect) are about as much use as a one-legged man in an arse-kicking contest. Everything you say is too simplistic to be taken seriously. The greater the number of guns the greater the variables. These fatuous binary scenarios don't happen in real life.

Is it? Think you'll find you're very wrong. The NHS is far from perfect, and gets abused and used as a political football. But the US (In the last twenty years) hasn't got close to the NHS in providing health care for all at a cost per patient that remotely compares. Out of eleven. The USA is eleven. The UK is about four.

Lol you are killing me. I am at the pub having a couple of pints I will reply to this in more detail later.
Sincerely thanks for laugh, cheers

Immediate 20% reduction in pay for all healthcare workers!!! Let's get these costs under control!!!

Or we could just get the federal government out of it. 90% were better off before it.

(I was kidding about the pay reduction - good health care workers do not get paid enough)

Ha, in the old days nurses and doctors would retire from the same hospital where they started their career. Today you rarely see that. Staff turnover rates are incredibly high. With the change from community to corporate-owned hospitals there is little effort taken to retain experienced employees, and yes, millions of dollars are spent unnecessarily to reorient a steady stream of new employees. Unfortunately, one major factor contributing to high healthcare costs are medical errors. Whether or not anyone has connected the dots to a hospital administration standard that's blind to the stress and chaos of constant staff turnover is doubtful.

The corporate model of today's healthcare industry is a numbers game; time=money, which works if one is selling goods and some services, but the cost variables associated with caring for sick and injured human beings is not as easily quantified.

Meanwhile, one quarter of every healthcare dollar goes to pharmaceuticals, a favorite investment industry for many of the lawmakers negotiating healthcare policy in D.C. Thus, it's unlikely we'll see any significant cost reductions in that arena.

SV, sweetie! (and you are - you know) Nice of you to chime in. I just wanted to see the word "fatuous" in a post to make my evening complete. I can always count on you- you never disappoint. I had expected "fatuous" but "binary" - well that was the cherry on the sundae bonus. Ta!

BTW- you have never been to the states- have you?

Wow- this is a lot to take in.

That's not the first time Yorkie has heard that. I knew it was only a matter of time after his podcast appearance before you started batting your false eyelashes at him. Just lie back and think of Murriker, or whatever frightful backwater you infest.

Rosie.  This video is about helping our American Veterans.

I LOVE our Veterans.  We will always be indebted to each and every man and woman who has served and, sometimes, died protecting our America.

God Bless Our American Veterans!!! :-*

I had never heard of it until the bartender mentioned it to a customer. I was like what that is a name? My favorite beer is devils backbone Vienna lager.

You are a charmer.  That sounds like something that might be said by a Dyke with penis envy--a very nasty, low class Dyke with a pork fetish.

This is where you immediately go? And I am the one being called 'classless'?

Not MV, as you've been told before, but I wouldn't expect much better from someone who looks to be in a perpetual food coma. Clouds the mind.

Still zero affiliates, then?

It only gets violent when Antifa show up get violent then get their asses handed to them by frog supporters.

um....thing01...you do realise there is a form of paranoid schizophrenia that involves an unusual obsession with starting a race war, don't you? Same kind of thing Charles Manson suffered from. Although it never did anything for Manson, medication may help.
