I'm as critical of Trump now as I was during the campaign, for precisely the same reasons he's disappointing voters across party lines (and even some BGs here who voted for him). It's clear he's not up to the challenge or commitment required of POTUS. His priorities include Tweeting, making outlandish, unsubstantiated charges against our own government, and running off to golf at Mar A Lago. If he suddenly got serious about governing, I hoped at the least he might provide a moderate counter balance to the neo-cons, but they're scratching their heads too as they try to work with a WH skeleton crew populated by family members, conspiracy theorists, and heavily medicated spokespersons.

Our government is in uncharted waters under Trump, like a captain without a rudder or even a map. We can float along for awhile and pray we don't encounter a big storm. I think it's safe to say the only thing we can expect, is the unexpected.

Yes I hope Hillary never returns to politics, as for Bernie--what's to criticize, he's not the president? If he were, hmm, perhaps I'd criticize him for giving away too much. I think in a socially responsible society, everyone gives something--within their ability. No free rides. But Bernie's not the POTUS, Trump is, and I'll continue to criticize him until he proves himself worthy of the job.

With respect to what came out in yesterday's testimony by Comey, there was ample crowing on this thread about Trump's allegation about Obama and nothing said about there being no evidence of collusion by Trump or his staff.  Would you expect me to restate what has already been said about Trump's allegations.  You can be such a disengenuous asshole.

He's following the Trump doctrine of thinking <sic> truth is whatever makes him feel better. Trump dismisss as fake anything he doesn't want to hear or doesn't like. What? Comey said it was an ongoing investigation and wouldn't be drawn on the likely players when asked. But it was obvious that something is ongoing otherwise he'd have exonerated the names put forward. Comey ddn't give a conclusion for the investiation because he didn't know. Presumably because they're still gathering information.

Good, I hope we can negotiate some kind of rapprochement with the Russians and get oil&gas deals and other business going again. It would be good for shareholders, cheaper, more stable to gas to the European markets, less reliance on Muslim regions, and help out Europe, Eastern especially, by allowing their produce and goods to be sold again in the Russian Federation and whatever new pipelines. And, obvious, to any sane person, better relations are preferable to bad ones between countries with nukes. A side benefit a part of the negotiations could include taking focus/business away from Turkey, a traitor NATO country currently threatening to send more invaders to Europe, and bring those Russian market to buy European goods. And we all can focus on the real problem which is the rise of China, N.Korea, and Islam. (Having said that never trust the Russians, still back up NATO, but less proxy wars and a cooler new "Cold War," at least.) And a less adversarial relationship over domestic issues, like when Obama ramped things up because of some innocuous laws over homosexuals before the Olympics. Or pretending that we don't spy or ever even tried to influence a foreign election. That just goes over to the world as a joke when Obama apologized for it, and declassified documents, show a long history of that, and worse.
