While Clinton had his foibles, no President is perfect. The raging prosperity of the 90s, balanced budget and internet freedom we're still enjoying today are thanks to him.

You and your alter ego should really meet up some time. He's right here posting, somewhere down the page. He's that Trump-supporting guy with the same avatar as you. Let us know how it goes.

WikiLeaks founder says big leak on Hillary Clinton could lead to indictment

QuoteWikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, says this year he is going to leak information on Hillary Clinton that could be extremely damaging to the presumptive Democratic nominee. Speaking to a British TV station, Assange said, "We've accumulated a lot of material about Hillary Clinton. We could proceed to an indictment."Assange went on to say he doesn't think Clinton will actually face charges because he doesn't believe the current Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, will indict her, but he thinks the FBI will use the information to push for concessions from the Clinton administration, should she be elected.

Comey trying to play Hoover in this scenario.

Comey trying to play Hoover in this scenario.

Director Comey is a straight shooter. He's not going to play games with this. If he doesn't get his indictment, provided he recommends that course of action, I suspect he will resign in protest. As will others in the Justice Department.

Abandon the fantasy. A President doesn't endorse someone who has the faintest chance of being indicted or charged by his own people. Remember who appointed Comey. Clinton Inc. is untouchable; even by conservatives, many of whom have joined the Dems in circling the wagons to defend a lifer politician like them rather than support an outsider who's revealed their nonpartisan con game.

Conservative writer says GOP should win a "Darwin Award" for backing Trump: The Washington Free Beacon's Matthew Continetti writes that the Republican Party is destroying itself by backing Trump -- so much so that it should win a "Darwin Award" for removing itself from the political gene pool. "By supporting the least qualified, least knowledgeable, most unsuited major-party nominee for president in history, they are engaged in an 'astounding misapplication of judgment.' Every week that Donald Trump remains the Republican nominee, the party comes closer to removing itself from the presidential gene pool. Self-selection is at work here. Trump's supporters are choosing their party's demise."

The Trump campaign is circling the drain.  GOP hardliners are making other plans.  Coupled with Trump's growing unfavorable ratings with the electorate, his exit from the race will be anticlimactic.

Under Obama post 9/11 mind you, 1 + million Muslims have entered the US. If you want more of this by all means vote for Clinton or someone other than Trump.

I saw a Chelsea 2024 sign today on the news, will the Clinton family haunt America in perpetuity. I think the Heavens Gate group might have been onto something. I'd rather drink the koop-aid than have potentially 24 years of Clinton leadership of America.

Former President George W. Bush, who is not endorsing Trump, has offered to help GOP Senators running for re-election who want to distance themselves from Trump.

You want to bet $1,000 that FBI will indict her during her campaign?

...Can I get in on this?

I want to go on a cigar shopping spree...

That would be great.  Then the democrats will nominate Elizabeth Warren in her place and Trumpety will really get humiliated.  You would get your cigars and everybody wins.

Not a chance.  This political year has been screwy enough that rational observation is meaningless.  But VQ will cover you.

That`s up to AG Lynch. I`m saying Comey will play this straight down the middle, and not play games. He`ll recommend indictment. Now, I also believe, as a matter of principle, he`ll resign in protest if she ISN`T indicted. But that last part is open to betting odds. If you want that bet,I`m covering all bets. You pick the amount. I have a trusted third party on this forum who will hold all cashier checks and pay out the winnings. HOWEVER, all winnings are to be donated to charity of choice.

What a fascinating election.  Clinton may be indicted and the Republicans are distancing themselves from Trump.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday that he would sue Donald Trump if the presumptive Republican nominee tried to unilaterally implement an indefinite ban on Muslim immigration.

I don't know what Republican Party he's talking about, but the one I see has been doing everything in its power to sabotage the nominee of Repub voters.  I think Trump should take the podium at the convention  (if he can) and tell his supporters that he's pulling out and they've got to be nuts to vote for anyone who calls themselves Republican.  Time for Gotterdammerung.

From Bill Kristol, and I concur:

"This is what one hearsâ€"this is what I've heardâ€"in recent days from Republican senators, congressmen, and other assorted big shots, when they're asked if they're ready to abandon the Trump Train. After Donald Trump's mind-boggling assault on Judge Gonzalo Curiel, after his childish response to Orlando (one that risked discrediting legitimate critiques of Obama's antiterrorism policy), after his casual slander of soldiers who served in Iraq .  .  . serious Republicans have given up defending Trump. One no longer hears about how party unity is sacrosanct. One no longer is lectured about the glorious prospects the interlocutor has for influencing Trump. One no longer is treated to learned but irrelevant disquisitions about the grievances of those long-suffering Trump voters who, it turns out, have been living lives of quiet desperation across America, and whose seduction by a con man isn't, apparently, to be challenged or rebuked."

BRAVISSIMO!

She's indicted or the FBI director resigns?

Is that the bet?

I may be your huckleberry.

I value your opinion on the matter. But I think it is unlikely the FBI recommends indictment. I think there is to much pressure on the FBI for them to recommend that.

Not only will Hillary not be indicted - she will be the next president (unfortunately).

Never heard of Gravis.  I wonder how large the pool of respondents was.  At least its better than the Gallup poll.  Gotta look for the silver lining.

Anyone but she banshee.

I'm down for this bet by the way. I don't want to go the full $1,000 but I'll put $200 on it.
