He is a political animal, no doubt about that and he does like to give a speech.
Wrong! Cruz speak long because he wants to give his rehearsed speeches and soundbites instead of answer too many questions.
He is acting. It is a show to deceive people. He is a good liar.

Keep promoting Trump, I see you as a one that easily sways opinion to their side. Keep it up. Don't stop.

This should be good... Which is worse? Cruz who puts his religion before anything, or Trump who is using it as a marriage of convenience? But then I've always found it a very suspicious and convenient way to try and garner credentials for being 'the right sort'. Any religion is a foil for power.

Pope Francis has questioned US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's Christianity over his call to build a border wall with Mexico.
Pope Francis said "a person who thinks only about building walls... and not of building bridges, is not Christian".

Ostensibly, one could argue all prophets are false. However, being a Christian is a much looser standard to follow.

sorry, was reply to this quote. Pope implies Trump is not Christian. This is ridiculous because the pope is traitor to Christianity (he promotes Islam invasion into Europe and America.)

So the Roman Dictator who claims sole communication with God and sits behind his Swiss guards and has walls around his compound country (even bans shorts and demands, though not as bad as Muslims, women wear modest garments to enter his museums or churches) with his secretive bank, hidden archives, and even more secretive pedophilia cover-up policies tell others they shouldn't have borders or even elect a certain person? No thanks. Open your border to the Syrians, Moroccans, Libyans, and others (hey- even the the Hondurans and Mexicans.) Charity starts at home after all. I'm sure all that wealth could support them. Maybe even sell off some of the art and archives to feed them, maybe?

Isn't religion amazing? If you look at it objectively, study its history--doesn't matter which religion you choose--and look at the inconsistencies you can only conclude that it's BS that's been tampered with and was probably BS to begin with. But through faith, it can be accepted unconditionally to the point that people will go celibate over it or blow themselves up or whatever, despite the glaring problems and inconsistencies. It amazes me, the power of the collective delusions that are religions. It's like a mind virus or program that even compels people to vote for certain political candidates. Cruz, despite his obvious sleazy politics and preacher persona being at odds with each other, still remains the favorite of evangelicals due to a perceived "constitutionalism", even though this same group would have no problem with a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage or abortion. It's an amazingly fickle and shaky position. But if you try and say any of this to a religious person, they either bobblehead and blankly stare or quote the bible (or try to behead you in the case of Islam) like you've made no sense at all. Collective delusions are crazy things, it's like folie à deux on a mass scale.

Pope Francis probably just gave Trump another 5%.  What a political/world affairs amateur this pope is. He may have set Catholic/WASP relations in America back 50 years with one dumb remark.

Illegal immigrants from Catholic Latin American countries are good for business. They fill the churches and limit the Protestant influence.

Catholic Church is infiltrated by Liberalism, which of course destroys it like anything it touches.

Ted Nugent endorses Trump over Cruz.

QuoteSomething to think about GOP! You have betrayed us & sided with the enemy! Wake the fkUp! US CONSTITUTION, Bill of Rights, 10Commandments, GolenRule, EARNING YOUR OWN WAY etc etc etc! Stop the gd fraud waste corruption cronyism & outright criminality of a government gone mad! This was written by a hardcore GOP buddy of mine. Think about it!

I’ve been a supporter of Donald Trump ever since he first stated he was thinking about running for president.

For decades, Americans have been bamboozled, conned, lied to, ripped off and played for mouth-breathing schmucks by our professional politicians and their legions of lobbyists. I’m through.

We’ve witnessed our professional politicians borrow and spend America into insolvency. We’re twenty trillion in debt and according to the Congressional Budget Office America will be thirty trillion in debt in just ten more years. Our professional politicians have literally stolen the financial future of future generations of Americans including my kids. Damn the thieves.

We’ve witnessed our professional politicians write laws that literally contain millions of confusing, legal double speak words so that lobbyists and other high-paid highwaymen can fleece us even further. Interestingly, our constitution contains roughly just 5,000 words; our Declaration of Independence, just 1,600 words.

We were blatantly lied to that it was a youtube video that sparked the terrorist acts in Benghazi. They obviously think we have “fool” tattooed on our foreheads.

As a gun owner, I'm maligned and essentially blamed for the fatherless, dope-dealing punks and thugs who shoot and kill each on the streets of Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore and other cities. I'm told America needs more "common sense" gun laws. I'm sick of professional politicians pissing down my throat and then trying to tell me its lemonade.

Our professional politicians have robbed the government-sponsored Ponzi Scheme known as the Social Security Trust Fund of trillions of dollars and left us with a worthless IOU. They should be charged with a crime.

The list is endless. All of this has led me to be more than disgusted and disappointed. I’m angry.

Senator Cruz, Senator Rubio, Governor Bush and others are going to pay the price for my anger. I’m voting for Donald Trump.

Is Mr. Trump going to do everything he says such as build a wall on our border and make Mexico pay for it? No, but I don’t care.

Will Mr. Trump ever lie to us if he’s elected president? Yes, but that doesn’t really concern me. At least he’ll be a liar of a different color.

Is Mr. Trump a hardcore conservative? No, but that doesn’t bother me either.

Can Mr. Trump drain the swamp of corruption, cronyism, and red tape known as Washington DC? No, but I think he would try periodically. That’s good enough.

What I do know is that Mr. Trump has never been elected to anything including city dog catcher. I like it he’s an outsider and a cagey businessman.

Does Mr. Trump say some things that are provocative and that anger some people? Yes, but I also believe that the road to hell is paved with political correctness.

I don’t believe Mr. Trump can be bought and manipulated. I like that, too.

Mr. Trump is exactly what America needs. His time is now. He’s got my vote.

Bush and Kasich have worn their Catholicism on their sleeves so they'll get some fallout.  Rubio is a Mormo-Catho-Fundie and won't be affected.

I would argue that point with you. You're correct that a majority of illegal immigrants from Central and South America are Catholic. But their ability to donate versus the benefits they receive from the church, more than likely costs the church more. It is at this point I respect the Catholic Church, in this, they do put their money where their mouth is. However, the glut of wealth held by the Vatican quickly brings me back to reality. As much as illegal aliens are vilified by many, most of them are worthy of more grace than offered.

QuoteIn response to the Pope:

If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS’s ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been President because this would not have happened. ISIS would have been eradicated unlike what is happening now with our all talk, no action politicians.

The Mexican government and its leadership has made many disparaging remarks about me to the Pope, because they want to continue to rip off the United States, both on trade and at the border, and they understand I am totally wise to them. The Pope only heard one side of the story - he didn’t see the crime, the drug trafficking and the negative economic impact the current policies have on the United States. He doesn’t see how Mexican leadership is outsmarting President Obama and our leadership in every aspect of negotiation.

For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful. I am proud to be a Christian and as President I will not allow Christianity to be consistently attacked and weakened, unlike what is happening now, with our current President. No leader, especially a religious leader, should have the right to question another man’s religion or faith. They are using the Pope as a pawn and they should be ashamed of themselves for doing so, especially when so many lives are involved and when illegal immigration is so rampant.

I'm not so sure about that. I'm from a Catholic family, and for a long while the trend was to close and consolidate parishes, especially ones in the inner city. This seems to have reversed to some degree with the influx of Hispanic immigrants. It's better to have a full church than an empty one, even if it's full of small fry donors. I don't trust them on the immigration issue.

I actually have no problem with the Catholic Church on their charitable activities. They do a lot of good. I also have no issues with the wealth of the Vatican, they don't really have the huge revenues people think given that their properties are divided out among the dioceses themselves rather than centralized with the Vatican. They're also tasked with preserving and protecting a huge amount of cultural property such as the Sistene Chapel, which they do a nice job of.

Cruz is the establishment candidate in sheep's clothing, no doubt about it. A Cruz presidency, which is impossible because he can't win, would be indistinguishable from a Bush presidency other than the rhetoric.

That's sort of weak though, those walls are centuries old. What are they going to do? Bulldoze them? Besides, you can walk right into St. Peter's square with no problems. There really isn't a border there at all. Just walk right in. Just sayin'.

i get that same feeling about him.  when i hear cruz prattling on and on about how he won't get down in the muck and will instead keep this about this issues, as if he's above something, i feel like i'm hearing GWB's "new tone" version two.

right, Jesus said in the sermon "Go forth and become sodomites, let women rule you, cut of your penis and become transgender. Then let the moslems into your house and rape your woman."
