President Donald J. Trump

Started by The General, February 11, 2011, 01:33:34 AM

Trump is way off message he made his mark by mentioning his views on immigration and growing buisness. All we have heard last few weeks if Megan Kelly, veterans, and skipping a debate.

Also why are Cruz and Trump giving Rubio a pass on his amnesty position. If they would press Rubio in this it would blunt his momentum expecially in South Carolina. Trump needs to spend big in SC and use Rubio's position of immigration against him.

OMG! Trump demands Iowa re-election or Cruz results nullified for defrauding Iowans.

Uber-Christian Cruz has no problem winning on deceit.  Sur-prise, sur-prise!  But I think/hope Iowa was his last hurrah.  Sleaziest. least respected politician to hit the national stage since Nixon.

Trump lost Iowa and thats a good thing. Since Iowa has not picked the republican president in over 16 years so you do not want to be first in Iowa!!1

I agree.  Winning Iowa is the kiss of death for Republicans.

Trump is fucking up big time by flying to f'ing Arkansas today instead of whistle-stopping in NH on a bus.  NH is his to lose, the undecided dummies number almost as many as his supporters, and the appearance taking NH for granted can kneecap him.

I have to disagree. i think it is a smart move and I will tell you why. Tonight majority of people will be looking at the Democratic Town Hall. By going to Arkansa tonight he is getting a jump on the rest in Clinton's old stomping ground. i think it is a good move!!1

The Arkansas primary is in March, and AR fundies will flop back and forth for weeks yet before deciding. OTOH, NH undecideds reading or seeing Trump in AR just five crucial days before the election will see a guy who's written them off and they more than enough to turn the expected results on its head.  If Trump doesn't win BIG in NH as he's bragged, the air is really going to start coming out of his balloon.  He's already damaged himself by being so cocksure about Iowa.  The primary marathon is on, and someone ought to remind DT of the fable of the tortoise and hare.

I doubt if many conservatives are interested in a liberal love fest. I think both Sanders and Clinton are worried about bleed-off of Dems to Trump in NH's open primary.

I didn't say that. I'm saying that he lost in Iowa, and he needs pay attention to the crucial NH vote coming next week, not the one in AR in four weeks that no one's paying attention to. His huge lead can evaporate in days if the undecide swing to Rubio or Cruz.  If he wins with a closing margin it will translate to a weak win and hurt him.

I know you did not VtaGeez'; I did  :). I was asking and answering my own question.

I agree his lead can evaporate quickly if he ignores NH voter. I just do not think he is at the moment that is all!!1

VtaGeezer

Latest NH poll (NBC/WSJ/Marist) says Trump has lost 6% in NH since Monday.  If Trump drops 5 more and Rubio gains 5 by Tuesday, the spread will be in the margin of error.  And Trump will look like a bombastic LOSER. So where's DT today?  In SC.  Not so smart, DT.   The hare and the tortoise.

VtaGeezer

I forgot to say in the above post that there are more NH undecideds than Trump supporters, and over 40% of Repubs are not firm in their choice.

Trump is trying to win this thing on the cheap. He better crack open that check book and start writing, or else  he's going to let this things slip away from him.

When he is not frothing about 'Zionist's', Rense can have some amusing stuff:

I don't understand what I'm looking at. Is it a Hubbard thing?

Trump wont be the nominee - you'll see things change very quickly as others drop out of the race and the debates become more focused and damning.

why do you assume the change will work against trump?  you think the other candidates are beyond reproach or something?

I think (as others) that as candidates drop that their supporters will flock to similar candidates - especially if they are religious right and detest the idea of voting for Trump. As Jeb, Carson, and Christie drop, I think based on strength of the next debates and primaries that Rubio or Cruz will pick up a lot more votes.  If Rubio can get knocked out early enough I think Cruz could take it over Trump (as much as I hate to say that). I think the worst is ahead for Trump as his previously held liberal beliefs will be displayed out in the open for everyone to see. Cruz is a smart guy and he's going to definitely make sure to tear apart any idea that Trump is a true conservative Republican.
Trump could excel in a national venue across all voters, but within the limits of republican party I'm not sure he's the guy that the empowered far right wants.
