The whole anti-establishment theme of the current campaign, with everyone claiming to be an outsider, is even more ridiculous now than it was in the 1960s. Back then, the counterculture was mainly created by a single issue, Vietnam and the draft. When Vietnam started winding down, so did the counterculture. When Vietnam ended, so did the counterculture. It was absorbed into the dominant culture with some lasting positive and negative effects. (For example, did being a part of the counterculture make one a better parent? That's very debatable.)

Today's anti-establishment type voters have all the distrust and anger of their 1960's counterparts, but little or none of their positivity. They have none of their altruism either, showing as much self-interest as the establishment itself. They claim to hate corruption but their banner-waver is as corrupt as they come. Somehow, they buy his explanation that giving bribes and buying government favor is excusable, but receiving bribes is not.

The Trump campaign is better described as us versus them, not some noble anti-establishment crusade. It's a power struggle, nothing more, despite all the pretentious flag waving. And a Trump win would give Trump the power, not the minions he claims to be fighting for. It's a grand farce brought on by a disaffected group of Americans who only know how to stamp their feet and have temper tantrums. They're worse than the problem they think they are solving.

Oops.  There's only a squat full of butt hurt illegals.  The massive crowd of folks are Trump supporters.  The stadium is almost full and it looks as though twice as many are still trying to get in.  Gotta be over 50,000+ people there.  I've never seen anything like this for just one candidate.

I like how they are playing mariachi type of music showing the crowds. I've always wondered why ICE doesn't show up to things like illegal protests when they shut down roads and trash out parks, soccer games (especially when Mexico plays here,) Cinco de Mayo drunk-fests, etc. Such easy pickings. Well, I know why (Obama orders them not do to so.) But IF they wanted to enforce our laws it would be so easy.

Suspicious powder found at Trump Tower in New York

NEW YORK -- Six people, including a police officer, were being monitored Thursday night after a suspicious white powder was found at Trump Tower in New York City, CBS New York reported.

The white powder was found inside an envelope mailed to the campaign office at Trump Tower, located at 725 Fifth Ave. in Midtown Manhattan, around 8 p.m.

Sources tell CBS New York that a male intern opened a letter addressed to Trump's campaign and a white powder spilled out. The intern opened the mail in a 5th floor office for the Trump campaign where volunteers make calls and open mail.

Security in the building re-sealed the envelope and called 911. The Secret Service was also notified.
