By every measure (GNP, poverty rate, food stamps, real income, purchasing power, home ownership etc.) the economy worsened under Obama and stayed that way.  The average wage for new jobs created is well below the pre-Obama average wage and the middle class has shrunk significantly.   Due to an Obama edict a record number of people still in their productive years have been discounted in labor statistics because they no longer are seeking employment. Estimates vary but the real unemployment rate is much higher than currently advertised.

Perhaps you can tell us what the Democrats included in their 2016 platform that would improve the economy.  The fact is there was little or nothing because to do so would underscore the glaring failures of Obama.  Why would there be a need to fix an economy that Obama tells us is recovering albeit very, very slowly.  Trump has already proven that Hilliary's "steady as she goes" approach to the economy was a prescription for continued economic stagnation and hardship especially for low income workers. 

You can stick your money wherever you take a notion to (and some of us might recommend a certain spot where the sun don't shine) but spare us your jaundiced opinion about Trump until you are able to comprehend and acknowledge the mess he inherited.  Until then your opinion is of little value to anyone including yourself.  The below article might help to lift the scales from your eyes.

You sound like a friend of mine who when I informed him of the demographics of Islam in the world he tried to justify it by jumping to find the moral equivalence right away and said, Well, at one time we were pretty brutal to them and still are. Either by cutting jobs, losing doctors, losing insurance, or dealing with a 300-500% increase in premiums. This is what happens when you have the government stick its nose where it doesn't belong. I think you're conflating any specific tap of Trump's phones with any ongoing and so far unconcluded investigations into any Russian interference and/or connection to the underlings of Trump during and after the campaign; Thus far Flynn has fallen on his sword, but there could be others.

With the former, Trump hasn't brought any evidence although his tweets were written with absolute conviction; where is the proof? The latter is ongoing, and involves many agencies. That should be fun!
