I wasn't clear, the percentages are American citizens. We had Thatcher in the UK, so we know angels don't exist.

This occurred when there were few regulations AND INSPECTIONS of business.  This is what Trump seems to want more of.  The man is a jerk when it comes to the environment.

' . . . breathing the particles can cause lung cancer. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration sets strict limits for levels of airborne chromium-6 in the workplace. The chemical has also been connected to liver damage, reproductive problems and developmental harm, according to the EWG, and presents greater risks to infants and children, people who take antacids, and people with poorly functioning livers.

Yeah, but they're probably liberals and commies. What do they know? Trump has a good brain.

I don't think it's his intention to poison the population, but he's in waters that he knows nothing of.  He's appointed some people who are just horrid on the environment.

How can anyone get rid of environmental regulations when they are only there as a result of research into illness and are there to protect the population?  No one in their right mind would do that, even if it meant certain 'favored' businesses losing a bit of their profits.

Your answer is there.

Trump has said climate change is a Chinese conspiracy; he thinks the environment we live with (and seem hell bent on despoiling), is an unfortunate inconvenience to consider. But fate works in unforeseen ways, and if and when the shoe drops on those who think (now), he's some sort of messiah, the games will begin.

Quote
A JCPenney shopper went on an expletive-laden tirade against two Latina customers earlier this week, telling them to "go back where they belong" in a rant that was caught on video.

The incident, which was recorded by another customer, happened Tuesday afternoon at the Jefferson Mall in Louisville, Kentucky, and garnered more than 5.6 million views on Facebook.

"Everybody here probably feels the same way I do," the unidentified woman, who is white, says in the video after she sees one of the Latina shoppers checking out and the other joining her at the register with a last-minute purchase.

An expletive-laced tirade was captured by another shopper at a mall in Kentucky. Renee Buckner
"Go back to wherever the f*** you come from, lady," the woman says as a JCPenney cashier asks her to "please watch your language."

"SPEAK ENGLISH. YOU'RE IN AMERICA. IF YOU DON'T KNOW IT, LEARN IT."
"Hey, tell them to go back where they belong. They can't act like the hero, they come here to live and act like everybody else," the woman continues, as stunned shoppers look on. "Get in the back of the line like everybody else does and be somebody. That's the way I look at it. You're nobodies, just because you come from another country, it don't make you nobody."

Yeah. Speak English like what she does.  ::)

Who was it that told this joke?  George Lopez?  A Mexican American gets into an elevator in America with a bunch of Japanese who are chattering away in Japanese.  The Mexican American guy gets pissed and shouts at them "Hey, this is America!  Speak Spanish!"

Of course he isn't crazy. The US and Russia only has already enough to turn the planet to glass several times over. And I'm sure they'll come cheap.

Eh, just a little tit-for-tat with his good buddy Putin.  We've been living in the world of Dr. Strangelove for decades.  What's a little more craziness.  Please, no fighting in The War Room.

Carl Icahn denies conflicts of interest as Trump advisor

Quote
Carl Icahn has denied his extensive business interests could pose a conflict of interest when advising President-elect Donald Trump.Mr Trump appointed the billionaire investor on Wednesday as an adviser on regulatory reform. When questioned by CNBC if his stake in an oil refinery firm would affect his stance on environmental regulations, Mr Icahn played down the potential clash.

Mr Icahn is a large investor in oil firm CVR Energy, along with other US businesses including PayPal and insurance firm AIG.

Asked if that would shape his advice, he said it was "almost a crazy issue", and gave the example of senior bank executives advising the Trump team on banking regulation. (Yeah, what a ridiculous idea to ask!)

He added that environmental and banking regulations had become particular obstacles to investment. (Both oil and banking have suffered badly from it...again, how many bankers were jailed for the crash?)

When Trump finds out that the ridiculously inflated costs of these projects are done to camoflauge the spending they do on antigrav and other black tech, he's going to feel pretty stupid for about five nanoseconds.

Then, he'll move on, like a man does.

No, I don't remember, nor can I find it with a search.  What car was it?

I remember Nader mainly for the Corvair.  The earlier versions had road stability problems, in part caused by gas station attendants not understanding proper tire inflation on a rear engined car.
It was claimed that Ford didn't make changes to the Pinto that would've made fires/explosions less likely when hit from behind. NBC also blew up, I think a Chevy, truck in a 'fake news' article claiming gas tank problems. Later it was shown that they blew it up.

Of course this type of risk-assesment and cost/benefit analysis is done in healthcare also, especially in 'socialized medicine' countries, in combat triag, when making new drugs, when a doctor prescribes a drug, before surgeries, etc.

And Trump being the consumate professional, does it by twatter. One of the biggest reasons defence budgets escalate, is because politicians and the top brass change their spec requirements, often halfway through tne r&d and even prototyping. Aerospace engineers aren't picked up off the dole queue, and command high salaries.

Top brass and politicians don't tell you they do that, its embarrasing.

Back to the tweet re: nuclear weapon increase. Apparently he didn't mean that. Not that anyone would have took what he said literally. Why would they?

This asshat is a canon set on automatic with no guidance. He's either catastrophically immature, stupid, naive or all three.
