Talking Cats?

They should do a show about talking animals. I was at my neighbors working on his computer and his cat comes in the room and clear as day says hi

A few days before that I was at my girlfriend's parents house and their cat sounded like it was saying help me it was weird. Sounded like an EVP or something we recorded it and it was really creepy. Anyone else encountered talking animals?

What is really scary is to record their talk and then play it backwards.

That second one is creepy.

I'm told that cats only "talk" to humans.  Their communications amongst one another are non-verbal.  Also, cats verbalize more as they get older.

I'm loathe to give a link from the  New York Times, but this story is really cool--about a Border Collie who recognizes over 1,000 words!
