Hey, MA, LOOK!!

All the bullies from the elementary school in Macedonia grew up and formed a homeowners association!   Asswipes!

if the homeowners association don't have the power to ruin someone's day then the terrorists have won

I used to work for an attorney that represented homeowners in Washington.  This flag stuff is ridiculous compared with the injustices and downright cruelties I saw perpetrated--especially on old folks and other defenseless people like immigrants and welfare mothers.  One example was the homeowners association who declared that one old guy's incoming water source was "unsightly" so they cut off his water. He refused to pay his water bill and they sued him for that!  And won!   It was more important that their eyes be spared than that another human being have a necessity of life.  He lived for a year without water and they cited him repeatedly, finally sawing off his water pipe at the ground so there were no threads to make sure he wasn't sneaking water. He finally died and his daughter sued them for harrassment, saying they made his last years of life hell.  They won.

The behavior of these supposed adults in homeowner associations is so cruel, bullying and unkind that people driven against the wall would kill themselves.  If the aliens ever random snoop on this planet to see if the species is worth saving, we better focus our collective consciousnesses against them tapping a condo or mobile home park.  They will have to cleanse the planet.

yes, indeed, they did.  Not only do they not want you to fly flags - they don;t want you to plant veggies (you should see some of the interesting vegetable gardens disguised as flower beds that one has bought about) or dry your cloths on an outside line - even in the back yard (best perfume in the world, line-dried clothing!) and god forbid you should be so bold as to do some minor auto repair in your own driveway.

My neighborhood isn't like that - but many nearby are. It sucks.

When the apocalypse comes, their names will be remembered and they shall become food.  8)

Give a small group of people a little authority over some meaningless arbitrary rules and you have created a monster. every time. One person may be kind and wise. Several kind and wise people together are a mindless cruel mob bent on their (id)iotic needs.

These kind of slip-ups are why you will never be invited to the triple-secret-late-night meetings.

This quote and article makes one wonder how we, as a society, can evolve at all scientifically.

"Israeli scientist Dan Shechtman was awarded the Nobel Prize in chemistry on Wednesday for a discovery that faced skepticism and mockery, even prompting his expulsion from his research team, before it won widespread acceptance as a fundamental breakthrough."

so many cookie jars..... so many fingers....

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski publicly supported usage-based pricing in December, a victory for cable companies concerned that usage-based billing would run afoul of net neutrality rules prohibiting Internet services from favoring one form of content for another.

Detainee Amendment Defeated in Senate; Sen. Paul Forced Voice Vote to Prevent Erosionn of Constitutional Rights
Sen. Rand Paul prevented the passage of an amendment that would have further eroded Americans' constitutional rights. Offered to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal 2012 (S.1867), amendment No. 1274 would have allowed the U.S. government to detain an American citizen indefinitely, even after they had been tried and found not guilty, until Congress declares an end to the war on terror.

That would suck.  I'm pretty sure that we are all experiencing what will be known to future generations as the 'wild west days' of the internet.  Eventually, anything and everything cool, cheap, or free about the internet will be regulated, taxed, destroyed, and expensive.  Companies at the top of the food chain like Time/Warner just won't let this go on much longer.  They'll do it with laws, taxes, fees, and regulations.  I hope I'm wrong.

WASHINGTON -- A man in Montgomery County walked into a preschool on Friday morning and distracted staff while he stole money and a Metro farecard from two purses, police say.
At 9:15 a.m., the suspect walked into the All Saints Preschool on Chevy Chase Circle and told a receptionist he was interested in getting information about the school. While staff were outside helping children who were getting dropped off for the day, the man walked into several classrooms and took cash and the metro card from two purses.

I'm for promoting human rights in general but this sounds like bullshit. the democratic party has been hijacked by fringe groups and has largely forgotten about Joe Lunchbox. at least it seems that way
