Heather Wade must live in a cave, she is so out of touch with reality that I do believe she has brain damage from the desert heat.  Let me set the record straight first, I am Japanese and I lived in California, Florida and South Carolina for the first 20 years of my life, I would consider myself American but I had to make a choice when I turned 20 years old, either American or Japanese(Japan does not recognize dual citizenship and citizenship is not gained by birth but by blood).  Heather portrays herself as a Rock n Roll Witch and I think she fried her brain in her younger days.  First off she must be a shrill for the Government, give me a break, she cannot believe the American Government would do anything under handed  just look up the  Tuskegee syphilis experiment and another thing Police Officers are not required to protect and serve the public, they are hired to protect the local Government and it's property so those 100 Cops or so were not there to protect the protestor's but to protect the property.  It is a shame because when I was a child I was told to always look for a Police Officer when I needed help,, now that is the last person you want to look to because he might shoot you for making eye contact with him.  What Heather does not understand is that she says most Cops are good but there is always a few bad apples, well since the Police police themselves it is their own fault when they let bad Cops run wild.

It would be nice if we had a little culture beyond fast food and other chain restaurants, obesity, lowest common denominator 'entertainment' (brain dead TV shows and movies, 'professional' sports that are no longer fun, bad music), mall chain stores, ghetto-chic general stupidness, Facebook-Twitter-SnapChat, 'smart' phone apps, political correctness and everything that's gone on with that.

Sometimes I think this country deserves what's coming, it's just that some of us don't.

Sometimes I think this country deserves what's coming, it's just that some of us don't.

We have no, or limited, culture because we don't have a nation, at least any more. There is no common language, religion, race or ethnicity, creed, mores, rule of law, agreement on policy, descent, tradition, or anything that would define a nation. In some cases we have a few but a good percentage of the population doesn't realize why such traditions, like our holidays, exist and, in other cases, certain once commonly-held holidays and traditions are banned from the public spaces.

We do have a country, so to speak, for what it is worth these days, and for now, but a nation? Not for a long time. And the acceleration of Obama's Balkanization schemes via promoting class, race, gender (and self-identified gender benders or gender-less,) and ethnic strife, encouraging riots and attacks, opening the border to violent cartels and uneducated people of all types, and accepting unvetted, unidentified "refugees" from radical Muslim countries will soon eliminate the 'country' aspect also.

Eh , I would if I thought he had a chance.
But the who,e time I was in Spain I saw noooo fat people and no mobility scooters .
I did see wheelchairs , but they were for really old people and pushed by family so they could go out to dinner .
People walk walk walk. Crap , we walked 5-8 miles a day and didn't mind a bit .
People are incredibly nice , and close talkers too btw .
They really do have siesta time and it's glorious . I loved taking a little nap then staying out til 1-2 am .
We rented an apartment and lived like natives.
