I remember rumblings about registration starting about last April (could be wrong). There's been a few other numerous instances of drones dropping out of the sky in the middle of temples, a cyclist nearly got hit by one, etc.

In the United States I think it's a bunch of BS, leave it up to he states themselves.

There were a lot of cases of people flying them at the ends of runways in landing corridors too.  The club I fly at has been there for 30 years with no issue.  A few years ago the quad copters that anyone can fly came out and opened up the can of worms.

Yeah, some kid here was arrested for harassing people with them, flying them up near people's apartment balconies. He'd post the vids on YouTube, threw a literal shitfit when he got picked up, too.

That scene's attitude seem to more obnoxious "this is why we can't have nice things" in the past. Then again, I assume you have to spend some money to do your hobby, whereas those quad drones could be bought at Barnes and Noble!
