YA COMMIE LOVIN'... SON OF A BITCH!!!

;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Still making me laugh all this time later.

Found some fascinating audio clips from WWII.  One is from British Avro Lancaster's on a bombing run over Berlin.   The crew banter is great - "Hello Navigator", "Hello Skipper" and the quintessential "Oh hell".   The other clips are from American Boeing B-17's and the banter is a little more folksy - "Watch it Steve", "C'mon you guys".  The calmness of all the airmen is very striking.   I guess at that point there is no place to run so you had better keep calm and do your job but I think I would be wetting down both legs.   It's also interesting that there is almost no swearing - there is an awesome British "Bastards" and the American pilot does say "dammit" but pretty classy considering the situation.

Well worth a listen even if you aren't into this kind of stuff.   Just to hear the difference in accents and attitudes.

BTW - The American .50 caliber Brownings make a much more satisfying sound than the lighter British .303 machine guns.

I love this feature of Realtek sound cards.  I have a 5 second memory so this always reminds me to put my headphones on.

kids and others, do not ride these tools of SATAN while nude. especially the boys... wicked pinch point at the front of the seat..... and you can't wash the stains out. the only "good" thing about this toy is to get your jackass cousin to ride it in the nude.  ;D

I came to the shocking conclusion that very little is considered shocking anymore.  How jaded we have all become.

Yesssss! Here's a beach bum squirrel I met at the beach who was hoping to score treats!

Zeebo, my dear buddy, thinking of you!

Here's another. This one lives nearby and very sweet. A ham for the camera. I sometimes give them goodies when I pass them on my walk.

Ha!  Reminds me of Rocky, The Water Skiing Squirrel.

I feed them out in my backyard and they eat right out of my hands. When I first moved here, I'd try to feed them and they wanted nothing to do with me. They are very nervous. But after a few years they warmed up to me, and now eat right out of my hand. When I drink my coffee out there in the morning, you can see them sitting out there waiting for me to show up. They run right up to me. I'm really the only house in the neighborhood who always has squirrels in his yard. It's really quite something. It's the little dorky things like that I enjoy.

Baby 'Mikael' He was found injured after a terrible storm. Rescued and we rehabilitated back to good health at a rescue here. He was nursed back to  health and found a new pack of other squirrels being foster. Later and now living happily back in the wild at a nearby island.

Same here.  I've found the best way to keep squirrels from messing with my house and other things, is just to make sure they're well fed.  If I don't give them anything, there's always plenty of pine cones laying around for them to munch on, which helps.

I'm thinking of starting a happy hour for them.
