Maybe it was the Myers Brigg's test? I've taken the test probably about 8-10 times and read all the break downs. I get & identify with INFJ. That guy could have lied on answers because it just sounded better to him lol

I'm an INTJ. It would be interesting to know what the majority of Bellgabbers are.

2001: A Space Odyssey was not a financial success during the first weeks of its theatrical run. MGM was already planning to pull it back from theaters, when they were persuaded by several theatre owners to keep showing the film. Many theater owners had observed increasing numbers of young adults attending the film, who were especially enthusiastic about watching the 'Star Gate' sequence under the influence of psychotropic drugs. This helped the film to become a financial success in the end, despite the many negative reactions it received in the beginning.
Like..wow, man.

I've taken the test twice and am an INTP.  The first time I scored 0 on the feeling part and the second time I got around 10.  Don't worry though, I have a conscience.

ORLY? We both lead with introverted intuition. personality hackers is a type site that focuses mostly on the intuitive types. I like their podcasts.

Bateman is an INTP too and he definitely has feels <3  :) I like INTPs very much. Here is a list of famous INTPs.

I have feelings, they just don't play a role in decisions.   :)

I'm a major stereotypical INTJ. I always wondered why I was such an eccentric fuck until I discovered Myers-Briggs in college psychology. Then I found out I'm just better than everyone else.  ;D

Allegedly I'm a mediator (INFP-T), but I don't feel much like one these days.

Is there any scientific merit to those tests?

I don't know. I recall those test they used to make you take in middle-school (longer) and I still don't know. I never did those "free" Scientology-based ones that were always hawked to undergrads. The online ones? I recall some employers gave them (I think to see if one would steal.) Seem short but, assuming honest reporting, a big problem I would think with some personality types, maybe have some value or interesting. Now onto to my biorhythm online test....didn't the early Compaq computers come with one of those for free?

The absence of a "straight-up Asshole" category makes me suspicious.

About as much as any sort of pop psychology or fad science. It is interesting and a good way to classify people in a basic way. But as with any academic science, there's always loop holes and ways out for things that go against it's academic blah blah blah. For instance certain types can turn into complete opposite types when stressed. Some people show signs of being a few different types. And then you have sociopaths, psychopaths and general whack-a-dos who float between personality types.

It gets about as deep as you want to get with it. But like most psychology, history or religious study the deeper you go, the more a bullshit factor intertwined with the material starts being contemplated.

All I know is when I read my type description it was so spot-on I was like "Get outta my head!"

I actually think this could make an interesting one-off show topic.

The test sounds interesting. I'm drunkenly throwing a wrench in the conversation. I'll go away now.

Come one karaoke tonight. I'm so bored I'm losing my marbles.

I am INFP-A, just over 50% on F and A and very high on the rest. Are there any Bellgab extroverts?

Curious all the INFP's here ... I'm one too.  (Not sure what that fifth letter is, that's new to me.)  I'm pretty high on the NFP but just leaning I, which tilts back toward E after a couple martinis.

Taking the test twice it's said INTJ-A and ISTJ-A, one of the result factors was close to 50-50 each time.

I've been thinking of writing an "unofficial" Star Wars Broadway play for some thyme naow.

One of the songs (I think) will be "Ackbar, it's a trap!"

Lyrics something like this:

Admiral Ackbar!

(chorus):

"It's a trap"

Admiral Ackbar:  I give a crap!

'about that' is how far I goat...

Also interesting would be whether people agree with the result they got and if so, whether they are generally happy to be in that category.

Juan

INTJ with an unmeasured quantity of assholery.  Seems accurate.

Not sure about that extra letter either. Maybe it's supposed to indicate how much you are a feeler vs a thinker. I've only used tests on other sites, but I linked to that one since it came up as a first result & had in depth bios about the types :P I recommend taking the test from different sites spread out over time, and of course reading the break downs to really pin it down.  Personalitycafe is a really neat forum to explore.

If I understand the 5th letter correctly, it is assigned as an A ((assertive) or T (turbulent) and refers to identity. I don't think the original tests assign it but if you go to the 16!Personalities site, the test they have there does.

A year ago, "Fox's Empire is the best new series". Now, " Fox's Empire has plummeted in ratings."...

My review.... Reviews are pure bullshit...

Is that a bad thing? I was kept in a sleep suit with may hands tied together behind my head until I was 35, so I'm now finding my true vocation.

I saw it stone sober and that visual sequence almost made me upchuck.

I'm happy to be my type since I couldn't imagine being anything else, and agree with the results because the list of famous names for my type http://www.celebritytypes.com/infp.php includes a number of people whose works I've been interested in over the years almost to the point of obsession in some cases. Some of these people could be classified as "weirdos" but that's no surprise, without even taking the test I already knew that about myself. ;D
