Is there really a burger joint called Wahlburger's? I know those guys are from Bean Town, but I thought they were all murderers and horse thieves afore they got famous.

Prince has tired of the music game.  Now he's trafficking drugs.  The dumbass at CNN that wrote this headline deserves ridicule. ::)

CAIR would have blasted CNN if they had said Saudi Prince

Apparently, they usually encourage trick or treaters, but are sitting out this year because they're afraid there might be a gang war this year and don't want any kids to get hurt.

There's something oddly appealing about the idea of brutal gangsters with a public headquarters handing out candy on Halloween.  I bet nobody soaps their windows or smashes their pumpkins.

The streets of San Francisco smell like assfault.

How dare you. One of my favorite TV shows as a kid.

A paramedic I work with recently told me that approximately 75% of the homes where she responds to emergency calls are filthy or cluttered to the degree of being unhealthy.  75%!

That's depressing. Did she cover a large territory, with different neighborhoods, economic levels?

Lol...

I have to confess to having too much "stuff" myself.  But I do my best to stay clean & organized.  It's a daily effort.  Sadly, pathological hoarding is often related to depression, chronic health issues. Sometimes an intervention is clearly warranted.  But I wonder if this is a growing societal trend, symptomatic of a collective despair???

And no, b_dubb, nbirnes, we live in a relatively affluent part of the country.  I guess it is a problem that can't simply be attributed to poverty.  As my depression-era Mom said with pride, "We were poor, but we were clean!" :)

Your co-worker's report surprised me, but makes me feel better regarding the state of my own home. Not as bad as those, by any means, and I'm glad to know that, contrary to what I assumed, I am not a slob compared to most people--it may be just the opposite.
Also, note that affluence and oxy often go together. :-0

And the award for the least judicious use of annual time...

I know somebody who went from 85 hours to 27, while only actually taking TWO days. So, how does one lose 58 hours by only taking two days off...leaving work 45 minutes early because "it's a beach day", leaving 40 minutes early on Saturdays to watch college football, coming in 30 minutes late after stopping to get breakfast. Yeah, those things add up...dummy.

It annoys me that this is the wrong thread for what I was about to say.

West Virginia is where they invented the toothbrush.

If it had been invented anywhere else, it would have been called the teethbrush.
