What makes you think I haven't already, just for fun?

Did the running socklet suffice?

I have no doubt that you have.

Sharing is caring.

See, you're just mad that nothing's shown up in your inbox yet.

Why was I worried about getting aids when the real fear was that one of those ladies could have put a pillow over my head as I slept?

Brilliant. I'm surprised that there wasn't some smart assed kid who spoiled it for everyone anyway.

Comicbookgirl19's channel on Youtube.  I just found it yesterday.  Nothing like watchin a hottie telling the History of Westeros... I love her delivery too.  "Cersei is the reason the word 'cunt' was invented."  Highly recommend.  She's covered the Targaryens, Lannisters, and Starks so far.  Baratheon will be a future show...

Hey, thanks for the tip BigChucka re:  ComicbookGirl19 on YouTube -- she is funny, charismatic, and intelligent (Oh, and very nice to look at!).  There is another (slightly younger) woman who has a YouTube show called Kiriosity (I think it's a Geek & Sundry offering) who also covers some fun stuff.  Damn, I love strong, intelligent women!

What was funny was a conversation I had with a friend of mine after I found westeros.org

Me  I found a fansite for the books.  Read a theory.  You know who Jon Snow's mom is?
He  In the books it's never said.
Me  Ned Stark's sister.
He  C'mon dude.  Ned didn't fuck his sister.

Only in GoT would you jump to that conclusion so quickly.

Actually, I'm not a GoT guy, but the show does look good.  I think it's too adult for my 12-year-old daughter to view, so it's not on our Netflix instant queue.

Obese person blood sample, apparently:

Healthy person: <150 mg/dl
This person: 5,017 mg/dl

Uhh, wow.

That's nasty.  When I was working as a dialysis tech, one of my jobs was to prepare the dialyzer filter for reuse after I took the patients off the machines. We had this set up where the filters are rinsed with water, which is forced through at very high pressure, removing the blood.  The filters were then filled with formaldehyde until they were rinsed thoroughly and then used the next time the patient came for dialysis.  Anyway, in order to prep the filter for the cleaning machine, I had to take the end off and scrape away a layer of fat and cholesterol.  :o It was nasty. Some people had little to no cholesterol on the filter, while others had a thick layer. Yuck. I loved my job back then, but now I don't know how I did it.

Tyler: Tonight, we make soap.
Narrator: Really?
Tyler: To make soap, first we render fat.

Good call.  Definitely a lot of fucking, killing, and complex plot lines.  It's not porn, though.  Some do no nude scenes at all.  Others are hired just for that.

Is there a torrent of just the nudity intermixed with the killing?  That's all people really want to see anyway.

I just love that she's hot and has "cavernous bowels."

I heard on Coast a couple years ago somebody was building  a boat that was going to run on biofuel made from liposuctioned fat. I never heard any follow up. That is not as bazaar as this mornings coast that some company wanted 'stars' tissue samples to culture out and make salami from the cultured tissue for people that want to 'eat' their favorite star.
I was a phlebotomist in the early '90's. I used to see samples that were that were very high in lipids . Not nearly as bad as the one shown here . Where are the red cells in that? I don't see how that patient was getting any oxygen-wow.

I must have a very weak stomach, but that blood sample pic is making me gag for real. The next time anyone makes fun of me for snacking on veggies, I'll show them that. Ugh. How is that person still functioning?

I'm not a vegetarian, so I don't have a dog in this race but I'd question where the funding for this study came from since there is a gold standard long term, large scale study of Seventh Day Adventists which pretty much refutes the points this article brings up. Finding a correlation between vegetarianism and mental health issues sounds pretty sketchy at best.

The study is complete nonsense. Actually, it`s just worthless. This from the exact same study!:

"Subjects eating a carnivorous diet less rich in meat self-report poorer health, a higher number of chronic conditions, an enhanced vascular risk, as well as lower quality of life. In conclusion, our results have shown that consuming a diet rich in fruits and vegetables is associated with better health and health-related behavior"

That is stuff like hot dogs and other processed meats.

Vegetarian diets are higher in carbohydrates, and result in increased oxidative stress and reduced genetic expression of collagen, contributing to aging. A generally typical lack of B-12 is also a factor.
http://www.karger.com/Article/FullText/152871

Also a higher cancer rate and a mental disorder rate double of non-vegetarians.

The two women in these photos are the same age. The woman on the left is a vegetarian health nut. The woman on the right eats whatever she wants.

onan

Broad statements about diet and aging, mental health, and other concerns hardly ever are true in the overall sense. Generally speaking more women are vegetarians than men. Women are more likely to have anxiety disorders. Those two statements are both true but they aren't connected.

Biologically humans are omnivores. Making a conscious decision to not eat meat probably has some bearing on one's health, probably both good and bad consequences. How we age, deal with our inner psyches, metabolize and just plain exist has as much to do with our individual genetics as it does to eat only vegetables.

That being said, a lean meat added to the diet is not a poor choice... McDonald's is always a poor choice.

Mels-hole1984

I quit eating McDonalds about seven years ago. It grosses me out to even see other people eating it.

Reminds me of this internet debate from a year ago:
"McDouble is 'cheapest and most nutritious food in human history'
Describing the McDonald’s double cheeseburger as “the cheapest, most nutritious, and bountiful food that has ever existed in human history” might seem beyond fanciful, but according to the author of Freakonomics, it is not as absurd a suggestion as it appears. "

and the price is so low because of all the subsidies and tax dollars that goes into its production. Its Socialism in A Bun.

Ok, not so random, but certainly stupid:

Back when I was in college (mid 70s), a guy who lived down the hall who became a vegetarian proudly proclaimed after he quit eating meat, his shit didn't stink.  We took his word for it.

I know plenty of women that never go near an animal product. I assure you, not only are they extraordinarily healthy, but look absolutely amazing.  My dear mother, well into her 80's, being just one example. When she went totally plant-based over half century ago, all her friends and her physicians thought she was insane. They're pretty much all dead now from cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, etc.

Mom has -- not my words, but those of her current physician -- ''the cardiovascular system of a healthy 40 year old''. Strong, healthy, active, without a trace of plaque, arteriosclerosis, or any other degenerative conditions commonly associated with the Standard American Diet (SAD).

My choice to pursue a plant-based diet was based solely on the  unambiguous resesrch which indicates that a 100 percent plant-based diet is extremely beneficial in promoting good, overall health. It certainly has made a substantial difference (closer to miraculous) difference in my quality of life. But I encourage everybody to do their own research.
