1 part Java coffee nearly but not quite French roast
1 part  (real) Mocha coffee American café roast
1 partColumbian supremo café roast
into a press pot
bloom the grounds then after a couple minutes add the rest of the water....
throw a couple shots  of Irish in a mug. toss in a mint leaf
throw in the brewed coffee
top with a dollop of real whipped cream
drizzle a few drops of Kahlua or cream de cacao over the cream  or a pinch of cocoa

cold day by the fire
large coffee mug (pint or half liter at least)
have a poker heating till it is red in the fire....
12 ounces hard cider
2 ounces apple jack brandy
a pat of real butter
a touch of cinnamon
plunge the red hot poker into the mix  in the mug drink when the butter melts
this is for those nights when you and your lady are by the fire

We need a BABY UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, we went to the hospital with painful contractions 5 minutes apart.  They almost checked us in, gave us the option really, of staying or going home to labor for a while.  We live only a few blocks from the hospital.  We went home... and the contractions tapered off.  So, false alarm, I suppose.  This evening, intense contractions about 10 minutes apart, so maybe another trip to the hospital soon.  Either way, this baby is coming out soon.  Yesterday was the due date.  My wife is such a trooper.

It's curious how we males of the species will note the aging process in a way that I seldom see women do.  Yeah, that actress (Maggie G.) is not built like an anime vixen... but I don't see any female posters here putting up a shot of Brad Pitt or Val Kilmer and noting their shortcomings.

My point?  I don't know.  I'm a misanthropic bastard sometimes I guess.  Don't know why we pay so much attention to such stuff.  I know, I know, it's all meant in jest and fun.  This is just a silly forum where we all let off a little steam and vent.  And I know I am being hypocritical here, too, because I can recall noting once how loathsome I found Honey BB's mother.
