I've had my eye on the Autumn Evening, I think I'll pull the trigger now that the might K_Dubb recommends it. I've been drying my moist tobacco's out, much more than usual lately and I find that it's a far more superior smoke. Still experimenting though.

I hope you like it!  Now you know what I smell, and taste, like.  Take a big snork of that with a spritz of Axe Body Spray (the red one) and I might as well be sitting in your lap!

*also, yeah, I dry it out pretty good first

Creepy. Truly creepy. :o

With regard to tobacco. Gassing up at the local Exxon and saw right by register some gimmick item. A tin (plastic) of Grizzly brand moist snuff that was yuuge. With a Texas flagged label. Because 'everything bigger.' Hockey puck times 3. Besides not being able to fit in any pocket I also would suspect it would dry out quicker than even the most ardent user could use. I don't know if they are thinking of some kind of novelty gift for Christmas season, or those worried about another lockdown so 'stock up' on tobacco, or they happened to have a glut of crop. I also ponder the naming choices in the American moist snuff, some hint to the Scandinavian nature of original product and newer choose fierce or independent animals. The marketing choices are interesting.

Fuckit, might as well get the red Axe Body Spray and buy a purple silk robe for those nights I'm feeling silly, SILLY!

Good, nice to know this is a common practice.  -Cheers Mate-

Isn't homophobia just a little, yesterdays news? I get very suspect of people that flinch at flamboyant men.

You put those pouches in between your toes for maximum nicotine, at least I do.

Deflecting because I don’t want to participate in your lemon party?! I think not.

It's just kinda funny to me that you're so sensitive about queer shit. Yeah, I guess I'm trawling then. Maybe you're just trolling. Okay, your honest opinion on how the below picture makes you feel and we can just put this whole thing to rest.

Of course, in a free society everyone is free to pursue their own particular form of happiness but if I am bothered by it at all it’s because, like multiculturalism, it’s now a blatant, hammer to the head attempt at socially engineering us to not just accept but embrace and participate in (like you’re trying to bait me into) the LGBTQ community. People who want to pursue that are welcome to but please FO about it now. Oh, and if you haven’t noticed yet, there are no more same race couples anymore (and if there are they’re black) according to commercial TV. This social engineering attempt really annoys the fuck out of me. Please, just stop the 1984 now, big brother!

Come On Man!

Firstly, I stand against any and all forms of fascism. I'm not only, NOT FOR reparations and multiculturalism, but I stand in extreme opposition against this very "hammer to the head" tactic we see plaguing our culture today. Ben Shapiro can't even speak at most Ivy League colleges without police escorts and security, if they even allow him to attend at all. You can no longer say The Pledge of Allegiance in schools because, it could be offensive to someone whom doesn't believe in a creator. It's backdoor fascism with a baked in pretense, of TAKING CARE OF "YOU". It really is sick, period the end.

I was baiting you, FOR FUN and I certainly wouldn't define it as a fascist maneuver on my part. I was however, genuinely curious as to what your true motives were behind the anti-gay comments. I don't follow K_Dubb around these threads, so other than picking up on the fact that we stand on different ends of the political spectrum, I no very little about him. I see a great deal of fun banter on here and I suppose that I was just looking for some clarity.

But I love that silly fagot. He's queer and he smokes a pipe, probably in a silk purple robe too. What's not to like?

I didn't expect so many responses. Seems odd so many of us would smoke a pipe? I mean, it's pretty niche. Thanks for the recommendations. How dry do you smoke your tobacco?
I'm going to go with medium. Usually just a little dry time. Too wet and you get vapour which just isn't any good. But I don't need it to be too dry and I think you lose quite a lot of the nuance and flavours.

I might prefer to smoke it a little dryer than I usually do- but I'm impatient and usually want to take it out, pack the pipe and start puffing in fairly short order...

It does seem a l little odd that there are a few regulars here who light up a briar. That said, this place seems quite full of contrarians and people who actively buck the norms. Damn, I wish I owned a nice, sheer, silk purple smoking robe.

For you- but probably more for Innerreach. This is a great link by a man who is (was?) the godfather of drying pipe tobacco. He also has 4noggins blend some bulk tobacco. I have "stormfront" tinned in the basement. Only because, how can you post on this forum and not find it hilarious that you can actually buy a tobacco named "stormfront?"

This link also has him praising the lowly Missouri Meerschaum corncob pipe and was responsible for my purchase of a cob. To be honest- they really don't smoke bad. I admit that I was one of those snobs who thought that was just a cheap, shitty, drugstore pipe. But I still hate filters (all MM seem to have them.)

"Stormfront" tobacco? You are going to get raided, and quick. I imagine some RMCP minion shifting his feet while, whilst for you, some politician is ranting about hate groups and some potential, nefarious plot with explosive powders. "Well, guv, it actually turns out to be just tobacco." But even a bigger crime because some confiscatory taxation import or customs protocol hadn't been met and use/possession of same is also an affront to First Peoples, so another hate crime charge. Watch your six.

Yeah, I'm still experimenting myself and if it's too dry, you do seem to lose some of those flavor notes. The Haunted bookshop comes pretty ready to smoke right from the tin, but the Plumb Pudding's just a bit too moist.
