Random stupid things on your mind. Post them.

I just started reading The Punisher MAX Series.

Holy shit boys and girls... it is the darkest most bad ass comic book series I've ever stumbled upon. Someone randomly posted a couple issues on the board that cannot be named and I've gotten completely hooked. The Punisher has always been my favorite comic book character since I was a little kid but I haven't been into comic books since Jr. High. This MAX series is aimed at adults and it's from a different plane of reality.

Good to see yer back. I thought you'd be sanctioned and put away for some obscure light-bulb infraction!

Nice throwback to this post:

In Australia only licensed electricians are allowed to change a light bulb even in private residence.

I have broken this law many times.

I broke it again last week.

Hmmm. But Norway also has a high incidence of alcoholism.

I judge you by that statement.

One does not partake, as an Anglisher?

Forgive, some sort of Irisher whiskey, for a prosit

Has anyone noticed that being on BellGab tends to remove the filter between the brain and mouth, well fingers?

Haven't ready many comics. But I read one called Neonomicon that has to be one of the most twisted and dark comics ever. I can do without some of its subject matter, but I'd like to find more stuff that's dark like that. Though I'm not really a fan of the types of reoccurring characters like The Punisher.

Would be an interesting interview with Art (or by Norry- since she wouldn't remember it!)

I remember a decade or so ago some famous Dane, I think, maybe it just was a tourist, left her baby out on the street when she went into a store and it was a huge media deal. But a common practice in Denmark. Here is how they raise their kids. Look at the difference between our nanny-state schools where kids aren't even allowed to play tag or ballgames due to the "danger." Denmark constantly ranks as one of the world's happiest country (at least until the "refugees" come.) In Norway the kids take the kids out hiking and play in the winter at school. Norway also constantly ranks high in happiness indices and has low crime (until the "refugees" arrive.)

I've also heard Denmark ranks high in happiness.
I was scrolling through here last night and saw yr vid.  It never left my mind.
Interesting concept.

I assume there is a reason they were working at Burger King in the first place.

Was getting some gas and a beer and a rather large tattooed lady opens up the door, sticks her head in, and shouts to the Paki behind the counter, while I was paying, "do you accept EBT!!!???" He said "yes, yes we accept ebt." She leaves, comes back in and grabs about 6 pints of various flavors of ice cream from the cooler. I left and outside was a beater van with a Disable Parking sign hanging from the rear-view mirror. Our tax dollars at work.

I looked it up and, apparently, EBT cards can be used for cokes, ice cream, candy, etc because they are considered having nutritional value. I'm sure that is helping with our obesity and diabetes problem- by which some of these people get their "disability" and the cards in the first place! You know the retailers pushed to keep, or allow, those items on the menu of items available for purchase on EBT. What pisses me off is if the tax-payers have to buy obese women ice cream at least she should buy it at the grocery store where it would be cheaper than a gas station convenience store with their markup.

Wonder if you guys ever read Neil Gaiman's Sandman.  Some dark-ish themes in there.  Cool series imho.

Never got too far into it. At the time the books were expensive hardcovers. On a different note, I've been told the "Saga" graphic novels are good.
