Jared, posing for the boys of C block, Valentine's Day 2017.

He should be praying for a "c block".

Are prisons catered by Subway? If not, will Jared get fat again?
He is not going to do well in prison. No SubWay sandwhiches. Lots of salami though.

What a sick fuck?

He'll get a Meat Lover's special daily. If guilty, he's a sick fuck indeed. Under the prison for him.

My sister has been amused by this. She used to work at a convention center and he was "celebrity" speaker at some health event. She said he was insufferable and demanding and seemed furious that people didn't recognize him. Like he was a goddamn movie star or some shit.

For Cam, my fellow Dexter loving gabber. A Michael C Hall update.

Thanks for the information, Chine.

I would pay to see that.

Whatever Michael C. Hall does, you know he's ~going to kill.~  8)

I believe this is his third Stage production in NYC in the last year or two. A friend of mine writes for Time Out NY theater reviews and told me he's always superb and such a great guy in general. He truly values his craft and consistently puts out quality work. I'd fly back just to see one of his performances.

Btw. I think Season 4 of Dexter was the strongest season with John Lithgow as the Trinity Killer. Those two working off one another was spectacular.

I would love to see a Dexter and Hannibal mash up.

Who would win?

Hmm. I don't know. I love both of these characters for different readings. I would like to think they would appreciate one another. Dexter is a bit more 'human' and gentler so ... Well, crap. I don't want either of them to die. Can they just be friends? Haha. Please. I don't want either of these beautiful men to die.

Hannibal is elegant and had a cold sophistication which is undeniably sexy, but that's only because Fuller created a stunning masterpiece. There's a book out titled 'The Art and Making of Hannibal' with illustrations. Photos on set, wardrobe etc on the artistry of the series.

Dexter has the sweet, goofy face, warm and fuzzy quality to him (until he drives that blade in)

Hannibal ... I'll watch a scene of him cooking up a body part and think... That is so tantalizing and luscious. Then I remember, 'Shit, that's a dude's eyeball' oh... But then the red wine dances about and lands on the eyeball with glorious hues of Rose and blush tones. Oh shit... It's an... Eyeball. Blech.

I paint to a variety of music, and recently I've been downloading my favorite tracks from TV series. House of Cards, Game of Thrones, etc. Depending on the mood, feel of what I'm aiming for. Daniel Licht is the composer for Dexter and if you listen to the main title theme (doing so as you drop the thought of serial killer story line) the music has a light, playful and airy quality to it. Which I find is congruent to the dichotomy of Dexter. The light hearted feel to balance with the heavy and dark nature aspects in the story overall. So, when I'm daily sketching and want to create something light and airy, I listen to that piece of music. It's one of my favorite pieces when I need a lighter hand with the paintbrush, getting a fluid line, Here is a fun little Dexter music inspired illustration of mine.

Chine- Now I'm the jealous one- I would love to be able to draw/paint like that. I like your style!

Got a feeling a big purge is coming in North Korea. Kim Jong-Un is the biggest psychopath of that family yet. Bad, bad feeling about this.

Harder for me to say. Jimmy Smits convincingly portrayed one crazy ass Cuban in Season 3 and the chemistry was good with Hall.

And Tom Hanks' son, that disturbing little bastard ... or... will we ever forget the amazingly powerful Born Free screen saver message from king psychopath Christian Carmargo in Season 1? Spreading dad's ashes at the bowling alley? Dancing to Foghat's Slow Ride?

I could go on and on.  So much good writing and acting. I am completely unable to cite a favorite or strongest season.  They mesh so damn well.

Sometimes, I will be doing something and suddenly say "You want something? Take it!" ...  no one knows how funny that is unless they are familiar with the deadly blue-collar city employee to whom I refer.

You want something?  Take it!  Makes me laugh just typing it.

I also sometimes cryptically quip to innocent cashiers ... "Tonight's the night."

I screwed up last night.
Never go to bed with 12 hours of Hendrie playing and nothing but Chris Norton in the playlist. Today is going to be hard, weird too.

Speaking of which, I'm going to see if I can find the Phil thread and wirebrush the dust off it.

My Huichol brother from Mexico who is here on his bi-annual visit just reminded me that his dad is 70 and has a 23 yr young wife. Wow!

Americans discussing my favourite sport.

I fondly remember watching that (and roller-derby) back when ESPN was fun and about sports, not sport gossip. So did they do away with the uniforms for refs (or linesman(?)- the white uniform and hat that looked some some cricketer or colonial in the Raj? Great sport- though I never understood it. Fun to watch and looks tough.

Yes a number of years ago.

Funnily enough all the umpires (referees) are sponsored by OPSM which is our nations largest corrective lenses and glasses retailer.
