I got the impression she thought he really was thick and she was trying to break it to him gently. It will backfire on him; the PR people don't appreciate smart arses trying to make their charges look idiotic, even if they are.

I'm not a hippie, but they went from CSN&Y to CSN,  I always figured that meant CS(whoever they were)&Neil?

I have obviously missed something here...

No but I eat sushi and sashimi at least 2 or 3 times a week and no that's not a euphemism.
