MV/Liberace!

thanks, guild.  for the record... i was, at one time, a regular marijuana smoker.  many times per day, in fact.  it didn't negatively affect me in any way.  on the contrary, some of my greatest triumphs in life were using marijuana.  i would like to become a regular smoker once more, but my occasional contract work for the USPS forbids it.  hopefully i'll soon be able to ditch them and get back to living my life the way i want to live it:  in freedom.

i have no doubt of art's past as a marijuana smoker.  as you've pointed out, he alludes to it on many occasions and in various ways.  i agree that perhaps he hasn't partaken in a number of years, but he strikes me as EXACTLY the type.  i personally have a couple engineer friends who are pot smokers.  they all carry a certain sensibility that's easy for the trained eye/ear to pick up on.  i think art's one of those guys.

Dude, get into growing. Seriously rewarding hobby, a lot of fun, and it's the biggest middle finger at our big broth... government for their evil laws. Even if you don't chief, you could always cure it and keep it for years.  ;D

I'm honestly a proponent of the belief that the only way to beat 'em is to overgrow 'em. Considering the vast changes in our culture since the braindead campaigns of our fearless leaders like Nixon, Reagan, and Bush and how the majority (some studies cite as high as 75%) of the population has tried marijuana at least once in their life, I think we're winning. Also considering that with the internet, a kid with a bag seed, $300, and three months in a secure location can turn up several ounces. Those fuckers don't have a chance with these laws. But if there was actually sanity and logic in this subject the government wouldn't be able to kick in your door with a paramilitary force and rob you of your property and assets at any time on a whim.

i would love to grow marijuana for my personal consumption.  however, with the laws being as medieval as they are in some places (remember, i'm in missouri), it's just not worth the risk.  heh heh, i'd rather affect social change on this subject through other means.  :)

I remembering reading a few years ago on an Australian newspaper's website about such provisions now existing in areas of that country -- where people are allowed to grow their own marijuana for personal consumption.

The odd news bit? A rash of thefts! Numerous people were reporting to the local police -- yes, the Aussie cops -- that thieves were trespassing on their property, yards and gardens, cutting down and stealing their marijuana plants. Shame on that! Ha! Nothing like those "down under!"

"Police investigating thefts of citizens' pot plants"? Ha!
